I was just browsing around the web and came across a site that claimed a pesticide, going by the name of DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane), which was banned a while back, had recreational effects similar to ecstasy. So after i looked up a little more, it turns out there was a drink called the "Mickey Slim" back in the 50's that included putting a little DDT into the cocktail, and was reported to have properties similar to absinthe. So not sure if it is closer to ecstasy or absinthe but I'm gonna go with absinthe because that came off of wikipedia. I'm not interested in trying a pesticide anytime soon but does this stuff actually have and recreational value?

I said I'm not interested... I'm just curious about the fact that people were using pesticides to get high back then, and it supposedly worked.

Well, theres virtually no info about this so unless someone has any personal accounts of trying DDT i guess we'll never know what it was like/what it did.

I think William Burroughs wife was shooting insecticide, at least in Naked Lunch. The fact that DDT has been banned for use a a pesticide probably means that using it recreationally would be incredibly toxic.
