Recreational Suboxone Dosage For Someone Without Opiate Tolerance

I happened to find one 8mg suboxone pill in my garage from who-the-hell-knows-where. I don't usually do opiates so my tolerance isn't high, but I figured if I have the pill I may as well take it. I was going to break it in to 8ths since it's my first time, but how should I take it? Snort it? Swallow with water? Put under the tongue?

Since you don't have an opiate tolerance breaking the pill up into smaller pieces is the way to go. It won't be easy to break it into eight equally sized chunks/lines, however. In fact, I would break it into sixteen pieces (each ~500mcg) if you don't have an opiate tolerance.

Snorting and putting under the tongue will yield similar results.

If you're dead-set on snorting, start with a small bump and work your way up from there. Buprenorphine is very potent and there's a fine line between feeling good and getting sick, start very low since your tolerance is low/non-existent.

On a mg-to-mg basis, yes Suboxone is more powerful than Methadone. Although I found Methadone to be more powerful, but Suboxone is very potent. The smallest doses can get you fucked up.

I would recommend you cut the pill into 1/8ths and then put in under your tongue. Let it dissolve for 15-30 minutes and don't spit it out. Savior that awful orange crap. 1mg should do the trick, I don't know about lower doses.

Put it this way, the first time I got high off Suboxone I was making out with my gf who had 2mgs worth of Suboxone under her tongue while we were kissing. We were making out for quite some time, and I accidentally got alot of her suboxone in my system.

I didn't have an opiate habit at that time but had some experience with them and took them whenever I could. Anyway, about an hour later I noticed my eyes were pinned and I felt kind of opiatish, I had dropped my gf off at work and called her panicking because I was so damn high! I was mainly afraid of passing out and not waking up.

I was high for at least 12 hours and felt it for another 12 hours (penis didn't work for a good 24 hours total), and this was all from "second hand suboxone". After the first couple hours I really enjoyed it and would sometimes ask my girlfriend for a crumb of sub after this experience... and I'd be HIGH off a tiny crumb.

So, moral of the story is, be careful, this stuff is STRONG! I got high as hell just from kissing my gf while she had the sub in her mouth.

Of course now I have a sub script and take them daily, wish I had the tolerance I had way back when! I take subs 4mgs at a time now.

Yeah, like I said earlier, 1mg should be good enough to get you high. I wasn't ever able to feel a Suboxone high because I was switched onto from a high dose of Methadone so my tolerance was already really high. The Methadone was really sedating and I didn't feel that from the Suboxone, which is more stimulating than most opioids.

Its kind of hard to compare because methadone is a full agonist and buprenorphine is a mixed agonist-antagonist. Lower doses of buprenorphine act almost purely as an agonist so if you take a little more you get stronger effects but then you hit a ceiling between 2 and 4mg where no matter how much more you take, you won't receive any stronger mu opioid agonist effects. This ceiling is equivalent to about 30mg of methadone.

No buprenorphine dose past the ceiling (which varies between individuals but is usually between 2-4mg) will be stronger than 30mg of methadone so for people with large tolerance to full agonists, methadone can certainly be SUBSTANTIALLY stronger than buprenorphine, just not on a mg:mg basis for lower bupe doses like K'd said.
