My friend has thrown this idea for a while now, and we often discuss why it could but probably wouldn't work.
The idea being, that once a hole is reached, it could be maintained by maintaining a steady introduction of ketamine to the blood stream.
This isn't an idea either of us would probably pursue (creating and maintaining an I.V. drip is something neither of us have experience with).
Surely though, if one could calculate and regulate the infusion, one would suffer retrograde amnesia. I I.M. ketamine, for me psychedelia doesn't occur until the second or third shot, and beyond five or six my recollection of the experience greatly deteriorates, this alone makes me think it would probably be a waste, as good as it sounds.
We've thought about quite a few pro's and con's, I just thought it was an interesting thought and wondered if anyone here could chime in with some pearls of wisdom.
