Recovering from MDPV

Hi guys,

Basically a couple of weeks ago I had some pills which I believed to be MDMA but turned out to be MDPV.
I only had 1.5 but had a horrible experience, which included feeling really smacked out of it, mild hallucinations and minimal euphoria.
I ate the pills and they tasted disgusting, I'm very used to the bitter MDMA taste and this was completely different.
I felt relaxed and smacked out of it for about 3 hours and after that proceeded to head home which is where everything went down hill.
Basically my heart rate was fucked, I was hallucinating and feeling very anxious. I ended up going to hospital that evening after having not slept the night before at all and feeling as though things were not getting better.
They gave me some valium and an IV drip and after that I felt better and got a good nights sleep. For the next couple of days however I was very paranoid and really didn't feel healthy at all. I am worried that I may have done some sort of damage to my heart because it was racing for about 16 hours and felt like it would stop at any point and breathing was somewhat difficult.

To get to the point, I am all good now but I have found that I have become more paranoid when doing MDMA. Recently I have got my hands on some clean MD and done a couple of caps, but have become increasingly worried about my heart and the increased heart beat felt after consuming a stimulant. It has meant that the experience hasn't been as enjoyable and I love doing MD and want to be able to have big nights on it like I used to.
I recall in the past having no issue with sweating or increased heartbeat and usually not being able to feel any change in my heartbeat.

So I am wondering whether I have done physical damage or it is just anxiety that is prompting me to feel this way? Also maybe I need to do more MD to get me into a better headspace because I am unsure if the anxiety begins when I am coming down way earlier from only doing 1 or 2 caps?

Really would appreciate some help because I want to be able to go out and smash it.

Thanks in advance,

David

MDMA is a stimulant, so it will increase your heart rate regardless. I honestly doubt that you put much attention to your heart rate and sweating during your pre-MDPV rolls. Sweating and an increased heart rate is definitely not unheard of on stimulants. It most likely is anxiety as I'd doubt a night of MDPV would do any real significant damage if at all. Your anxiety from your MPDV experience has made you put more attention into the physiological side effects of MDMA. It's kind of like someone breaking into your home then you no longer feel as safe inside your own home. You felt safe before and had never even thought about someone breaking in, but after the experience you now think about it.

Doing more MDMA to "get into a better headspace" is not a good decision. If you haven't been spacing your rolls adequately (1-3 month break; I'd say at least 2 months) it may be catching up with you. Anxiety/depression gets worse after doing MDMA if you're not properly spacing out your rolls. I'd say quicker comedowns are related to a built up tolerance that usually results from abuse. A friend of mine comes down a lot quicker than normal and needs 300mg to get a good roll going. He abused MDMA. For me doing it once a month is in the domain of abuse as I noticed myself becoming more anxious, lethargic, stressed, and a whole host of other things the more I did it. It was subtle though and by the time I noticed I wasn't in a very good headspace. Luckily I noticed things were slowly going downhill and am now doing it only 2-3 times a year.

A good thing to go by is if you're not completely comfortable with taking a drug don't do it. It prevents a lot of negative consequences such as addiction, or physiological/psychological damage. I think you should take a break until you feel ready to do MDMA again.

Kit a test kit people, this is like the 3rd or 4th thread that could have been prevented with a simple kit.
