I have been curious about this for almost a decade now, and STILL have not been able to confirm or deny it's possibility. Has anyone ever recovered/retrieved the substance that was attempted to be IV'd but ended up being a complete miss? Has anyone been able to suck it out or draw it back out after missing? I haven't been able to find ANY kind of experiences or info about anywhere. SWIM has personally attempted it half a dozen times years ago with speedballs(w/heroin&cocaine), cocaine alone or heroin alone, but concluded it wasn't possible with the equipment on hand(31g short needle). Never had any luck being able to get anything to come back up, not even a little bit, and always threw in the towel after a couple minutes trying. Didnt want to dig around and most likely damage any veins or anything in the area under the skin. So I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this, or knows someone that does, or has any information on this. Any input will be greatly appreciated! This, for me at least, is strictly for knowledge. I honestly can't see myself making any attempt at this. It's just been huge curiosity I've had for a long time that I'd like to retire and store back in the filing cabinet of knowledge. Thank you

1. Don't SWIM here
2. Don't attempt to drain missed shots, you can cause even further tissue damage and inflammation and like you said it's not possible most of the time - the drug diffuses very fast into the tissue. Treat them with a hot compress, and practice your technique (and don't re-use needles) so you don't miss and bruise yourself.

Well first off, I actually WAS referring to another person and NOT myself in this case. I guess next time I'll use a different term. I appreciate you letting me know that for future reference.
Anyways, I personally don't ever put myself in the position because I DO have my technique down to a T and never miss. ~7-8 years ago was a different story. That's all behind me though and the lessons were learned. On the Rae occasion that I DO re-use a rig, it'll be for 1-2 more uses MAX. But once again, in this case it's been years since I've used one more than once. I actually can't remember the last time I did. Since I've gotten a little older ( I know I'm still very young especially to have over 10 yrs experience with IV alone, and I'm by no means bragging.) I've been very big on harm reduction and being as clean, safe, and doing the least amount of damage to my body as possible. I can't stress enough how serious I am about it. Ive never shared ANYTHING, equipment, water, nothing. I've been informed on that since before I even started. I did around a year or so of research and reading on the route of administration to make sure i had all the info I could possibly find to weigh the pros/cons before giving it a shot. It's really paid off throughout the years too, especially in my teens when nobody around knew what they were doin or what to do in any situation that may arise. Definitely saved a couple of lives and prevented numerous accidents. Again, I'm not bragging at all, I'm just stating a gist of my history/experience as to keep anyone from getting the wrong impression by my thread. That's what seems to have happened here, at least to me. Could be wrong, I apologize if so. But thanks again for the information and for informing me about the SWIM thing.

Okay, cool. Take it to the social thread. This thread has served its purpose.

You don't need to clarify you're not bragging 3 or more times. We here at Bluelight try not to judge.
