Sling Blade is a truly brilliant film. I'm sure plenty have seen it on this board, but if you haven't, then do yourself a massive favour & go find it.

watched film called 'Machete' last night. It stars this mexican guy don't know his name but he has been in shed loads of films 'From dusk to Dawn' for example.
Its a good over the top violent action movie, kinda Tarantino style. Great scene where the mexican guy cuts open this blokes stomach and pulls out his intestine to use as a rope to swing from one floor to another.
Just a good film, no thinking required,just sit back and enjoy.
 
That was one of the trailers on Tarantino & Co's Grindhouse, no? Didn't know they'd gotten around to making any of those seeing as the main film kinda flopped really. Think it's by Tarantino's mate Eli Roth (Hostel and the like) or one of that lil gang anyway. Looked suitably amusing - as did all those trailers, to be honest. Hope a few more get made too.

They've made another one. Fucked if I can remember the name though. Rutger Hauer as a tramp with a shotgun hunting down paedophile Santas, it actually sounds like the best film ever. It was on in Glasgow recently, I was gonna go see it but never made it.

Get Machete watched, it's fucking excellent. Big Danny Trejo running about with a machete killing or shagging everything he sees haha.

I downloaded it, haven't mustered up enough courage to give it a try yet. Might do so soon one day when I'm more bored than usual. Who knows maybe it'll surprise me.

Not being able to watch or d/l films is a damn good reason to get a working PC again. So annoying to be sans tunes and fillumz :!

I've got a very good feeling that if you watch a subtitled or dubbed version, it will still be the worst movie ever made. :|
 
Sweeeeeet!!! Only watched the first 10 seconds of that trailer cos that's one of my all-time fave directors so don't need to be sold on it. He's not made a film in years so will be grabbing that as soon as possible. Buttgereit & Co are fuckin' legends. He even replied to a letter I sent him years ago as a drooling fanboy <3
 
I think there must be subtitles. Buttgereit has an international fan base. It's a stage play he made though. Am also a big fan of his other stuff but haven't seen them the last 10 years I think.
 
I've got all his stuff downloaded but you can probably even buy them legit now. I know he always sold them himself if you wrote to him or his producer - they were hard as fuck to find otherwise. The films are all subtitled but never found subs for the shorts. Looks like he's sticking with the slapstick stuff sadly. It's still fun (Killer Condom anyone =D) but his oldskool stuff was brutal. Nekromantik and Schramm are amongst my all-time fave films and Der Todesking is an absolute masterpiece. I even bought the T-Shirt when he replied to my letter :D
 
Be nice if they sorted the subs out on the early films too - bordering on unreadable in places. But I suppose they tend to be mainly visual films anyway - not like there's a huge amount of dialogue usually. Man's a genius. Arthouse gone psycho. The end scene of Nekromantik has to be one of the best scenes ever put on film :D
