the town 8/10 - another heat rip off but one of the much much better ones (public enemies was another one which was terrible), ben afflec seems to of really matured as an actor and isnt shit for once plus directed.

Also noticed oxycodone mentioned quite a lot, must be big in boston.

just watched drugstore cowboy it was great need some more movies like that but pretty sure ive seen all the main drug films.

By far the most true to life (fuckin' brutal and painful to watch, to be honest) heroin film I've ever seen is H. Very hard to find, unfortunately. Have it on VHS taped off C4 years ago but never come across it online so far. Films with a title consisting of a single letter ain't exactly easy to search for, sadly. If you can find it I would highly recommend it to all though :)

Anyone seen human centipede yet?
Proper funny if you like that sort of thing :)

Yup. Posted about it a few pages back. Suspect it may be a somewhat niche film but I <3 it :)

Watched Black Sheep last night. Been meaning to for ages and finally got around to it. Was worth the wait. Great New Zealand comedy/horror fillum - essentially Bad Taste meets (The Feebles) in the land of the Braindead. Only with more sheep :)

Drugstore cowboy is fuckin awsome. "traffic" of course for its realism- know their was a European version but I hear that it is the most realistic portrayal of the how the drug game works from people in the know- met an of duty LEO in vacationing in Hawaii that wouldn't go into specifics but that is supposed to be spot on portrayl of the North American drug game, points for realism.

If you can find it, "the gift", not to be confused with the feature film that came out latter but Perry Farel's film from the band Janes Addiction did a pseudo documentary- was actually a plot based in reality. It is very realistic, came out in early 90s, I think but has graffic real IV use and Perry trying to score coke in downtown LA in a dress. Very realistic portrayal of the drug and street seen despite being fiction- some of the stories are apparently based on real occurances. If you can find it, blows most drug films out of the water.

FYI, the blues in "Drugstore cowboys" are the old oxymorphone. Currently the drug has been released under the name Opana and is taking oxy's place along with Diluadid among opiate officianados.

Thanks for the Perry Farrell tip, Jspun. Sounds good - downloading as we speak :)

PS: Really not hard to find at all - just type in "The Gift Perry Farrell" into your chosen hunting ground for iso torrents and you shall find several active downloads :)

i think i've found it on IMDB:

http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0128246/

Not for the faint of heart. I've seen Trainspotting numerous times but this far surpasses it. If you've ever thought about taking drugs(I'll just try it once}, this should stop you dead in your tracks. Very claustrophobic and highly instense and definitely gets the meaning across. I felt a range of emotions as I watched this movie; from depressed to hopeful to I don't know what.

no sign of it on rapidshare though...

La Haine (1995)

One of the best foreign films ive watched, about group of young men (black guy, arab and a jew) living in housing projects just outside of paris dealing with tough street life and police brutality in everyday life 9/10.

Alone in the Wilderness

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0437806/

Not everyones taste but I enjoyed it! His workmanship is out of this world and makes me wanna get out of computer work!

Documentary tells the story of Dick Proenneke who, in the late 1960s, built his own cabin in the wilderness at the base of the Aleutian Peninsula, in what is now Lake Clark National Park. Using color footage he shot himself, Proenneke traces how he came to this remote area, selected a homestead site and built his log cabin completely by himself. The documentary covers his first year in-country, showing his day-to-day activities and the passing of the seasons as he sought to scratch out a living alone in the wilderness.

Tis an... Irreversible viewing experience to be sure.

Got his new one (Enter The Void)) d/l and muchly looking forward to it some time soon... Kinda like Irreversible in that it's more of an experience than a film maybe... or pretentious wank with titz and gunz and bumrapez and Tibetan Book of The Dead stuff and that (maybe not all in the one film...). All is good <3

But really, Enter the Void is a great film / piece of audio/visual art from teh futurez. Its best enjoyed with a pinch of herb if thats your thing.

Cock in eye socket

Two good films I would recommend to you are 'Rise Of The Foot Soldier' a great British gangster movie. But most shocking film I recently watched was called 'A Serbian Film', it is english subtitled.
Its about a retired Serbian porn star hired by some dodgy blokes to make a porno for them.
They end up injecting him with stuff like Viagra for bulls, so he is basically hard as a steel girder and just rareing to stick his cock in anything going.
Anyway won't tell you all the nasty shit that happens in the film of which there is plenty. But I will tell you that he does kill one bloke by ramming his hard on in this guys eye socket.Absolute classic.
Did I mention I hired this DVD from my local Blockbuster,I kid u not.

4-OH has mentioned some quality films, didn't rate Irreversible at the time though I suspect I may enjoy it more now as I have a slightly broader taste in films, I really didn't get any enjoyment from it first time round.

Also the White Ribbon I found dull as dishwater and I like a few of his other films. Totally hit and miss director for me.
