Do eeeeeet. Excellent film - I was well impressed with it :)

Gotta load of Miyazake films recently so they're next on my To Watch list.

I'd rather torrent a film then buy it if it's worth it than spend a fortune on crappy DVDs I only watch once. No cinema round here so that's not an option either so downloads it is. Besides, many of the films I really like are unavailable commercially or only on import, a nightmare to find a copy and cost a bloody fortune. Torrents ftw.

You can see the similarities between Point Break and The Fast and The Furious, which i really like to, both fun films but PB is way better plus it has Anthony Keidis and Tom Sizemore cameos aswell.

Watched Tropic Thunder on Sky and it was good but not great, Tom Cruise was really funny, and the trailers at the start were cool worth watching though.

District 9 :) - hadnt seen any hype and didnt know anything about it but was just starting when I arrived at the flicks - Really enjoyed it. Sci fi / political movie about "illegal aliens" living on your doorstep.

Yet to watch that yet... looks like it may be vaguely entertaining though!

I think someone has already mentioned these, but the Studio Ghibli films are great...

Howl's Moving Castle is a favourite (Christian Bale does the voiceover for Howl and does his Batman gravely voice too :D ) and The Cat Returns would be great on many DOCs! Fairly surreal; mind you all Studio Ghibli flims are a bit like that :p

Watched that again with my mate last night infact :) He loved it. Loved the camera work and style it had. The comedic edges and dramatical ones too. Think it's a cracking flick myself too ^_^

In 1984 East Berlin, an agent of the secret police, conducting surveillance on a writer and his lover, finds himself becoming increasingly absorbed by their lives.

really good film :)

Looks good that, Evad :)

On our mutually beloved subject of post-apocalyptic/near-future/somewhat art-house kinda stuff, you tried Stalker yet? Kinda ponderous and "deep" but a truly thought-provoking film and well-deserving of its stone-cold classic status, I'd say. Check the clips on PooToob for an idea but it really has to be experienced fully to feel its masterwork tag :)

That does sound fuckin ace Evad. Yea it seems that the Orwellian-style flicks are a general favourite for the BL EADD krew ;)

"An acerbic radio talk show host based in Dallas starts what could be an important few days when he discovers that his controversial late night show is about to be "picked up" by a nationwide network of radio stations. However, all is not perfect for him, because on top of troubles with his love life and fears that the management of the network will try to alter the content of his show he has to cope with a neo-nazi group who have been angered by his forthright opinions"
