I think the motion sickness could get pretty bad with 4d films
 
I had a bit of a headache for a while.

to be fair the trailer for that shit new film where some dickheads cross ballet with street dancing seemed like the 3D would be better in that. Too bad it'll be such an utterly shit film I'll never go see it.

Yeah it seemed to make better use of the 3D which is bizzare because Alice in Wonderland is a more obvious choice for 3D graphics and cool effects.

The future of films or a pointless phase?

Seems like style over substance so far, if someone could knock out a cracking story and make better use of the 3D then I bet there could be some cracking films but think it's going to take a while before anyone does anything I'm really interested in. Hopefully it means the return of films with solid story lines and acting from those who don't want / can't afford to go the 3D route but want to compete.

Also seemed like the dark glasses just make everything darker.

Aye and maybe it was just my useless eyes / brain or the fact I was wearing the 3D specs over my normal glasses but I found things a bit blurry and out of focus too often on the screen.
 
The colours are definitely not as pronounced when wearing the glasses which is a shame.

I'm waiting for 3D porn myself. That and the football.

3D porn is old news now. My first exposure to the recent 3D thang was through 3D porn watched on acid - a Good Thing in this case though :D

It's getting pretty mainstream now - can even download it on iPhones apparently. Which means Felix's phone bills will be rising sharply =D

that's old school 3d though, there's been no porn in proper 3d yet :(

i'm sure i read somewhere that the next Spiderman movie will be in 3D.
 
aye sam raimi quit the new spiderman film because they didn't give him enough time in the deadline to learn about 3d technology etc :(
 
Brilliant as a film or as a spectacle though, Felix? Cos having only watched it in 2D the 3D effect would have to be pretty damn impressive to elevate it from it's current position of "Nail in the coffin for James Cameron's career... hopefully".

In other thrilling 3D porn news, Tinto Brass of classic porn flick (complete with British cinema legends) Caligula (<3) fame) is cracking one out. Good, good :)

brilliant as a visual feast, i did not expect to be so impressed by a 3D film. the storyline was enjoyable but extremely predictable.

i would highly recommend going to see a 3D film in a proper theatre, rather than downloading it and watching it on your TV/computer screen. unfortunately that costs money and involves leaving your house, bummer.

nail in the coffin for james cameron? you must be joking. :)
