So my xbox has been collecting dust for about 6 months now. I was looking into getting the witcher 2 or deus ex. Besides those 2 are there any other good RPGs out right now? I haven't played Dragon Age but from what I've seen it's a point and click game (by point and click, I mean like Diablo). No "point and click" games please.

RPGs:
Borderlands 1 & 2, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Skyrim, Dead Island.

Open world non-RPGs that I recommend:
Sleeping Dogs, Prototype 2

Resonance of Fate
Nier
Tales of Vesperia
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey

And of course none of them are on PC :\

I should be complaining though, I just got a ton of games I dont even have the time for lol. At least I now have something to keep me busy until GTA:V

Seyer pretty much summed up the goods ones.

I'd just like to say that I had a ball with Deus Ex, it was a little short (granted I haven't done a second play through yet) but all in all I really liked it, the feel for it is great.

How apparent is the stealth element in Deus Ex? Ive been considering it, but my love for stealth games has increased due to Hitman Absolution and Assassins Creed 3 so Ive been mostly playing those lately.

Stealth ain't bad, I like how most missions give you the option to go guns-a-blazing or ninja stealth.

I think there's an award given for making it through unspotted, it would be hard to pull off. You would have to use all your skills and the right extra add ons to complete. So yeah, stealth is a big part and fun part of the game. First person stealth is something I'm not to familiar with, so most of the time it was guns-a-blazing.

Yeah, the first person stealth aspect of Dishonored is whats kinda pushing me away from the game. I prefer it in third person as with Assassins Creed and Hitman.

AC3 was good. But when I think about it it's probably harder/more of a challenge to perform stealth in Deus Ex, thus becoming more rewarding when you pull it off.

Dead Island is the only one you mentioned that I haven't played, I didn't know it had RPG aspects. Is it another first person RPG, similar to Fallout? If it is I'm interested.

Its first person, the RPG aspect isnt as apparent as in Fallot. Skill trees/XP/Leveling is all present, along with moddable weapons and tons of exploration but thats about it. Keep in mind that Im not too far into it, so thats all I can really say for now.

I ended up getting Dark Souls. people weren't kidding when they said it was difficult. by far the hardest game I've ever played.

when I meant by "like diablo": in that to attack you have to point and click on the enemy and wait for your character to attack. If a game is going to go that route, I'd rather just play a japanese RPG.

It is definetly painfully difficult but also easily in my top five RPG's. I found a stealth/dexterity build worked the best, let us know how you end up liking it.

Love Dark Souls. I spent like two days straight playing it when first began. I have bought the expansion but don't feel much like playing lately. Just such a commitment...

Dark Souls 2 is coming out at some point.

Loved Kings Field games. Still fun on emulator.
