Let me know what you think of it Coltdan if you get round to watching it.
I want to see it at the weekend but am also debating whether to save it until xmas arrives so I've got something decent to watch.

my top selection is......

El Topo by Alejandro Jodorowsky
The Holy Mountain by Alejandro Jodorwsky
Man bites dog by Rémy Belvaux
un chant d'amour by Jean Genet.

Just finished watching Lawless. Three hillbilly brothers have a nice quiet moonshine business on the go until one of them thar fancypantsy big city deputies done try to shake 'em down then take 'em down. Fueding ensues. Based on a true story with a screenplay and soundtrack by Nick Cave so worth a watch by default really. Pretty good film, bit slow maybe but looks great. Trailer.

Soundtrack's pretty good too: The Bootleggers - White Light, White Heat

You seen any of Fernando Arrabal's stuff? He's a friend of Jodorowsky and is very much in similar vein. Not made many films but they're easily as surreal and tripped-out as Jodorowsky's stuff. Even more so really. If ya fancy a lil looksee sometime: Viva la Meurte is on PooToob and well worth a watch.

Never heard of any of that stuff tbh but will check it out for sure.

The more I read your posts Shambles the more I see we have very close taste in stuff.

Thanks for the heads up btw :)

I'm pretty sure this has been recommended before, I only just got round to watching it. It's really good.

The dialogue reminded me of Dead Man's Shoes.

Watched Batman - The Dark Knight Rises last night.

It's a load of shite, wasted two hours of my time. I was drawn in by the Hollywood extravaganza. It's a load of nice cinematography or "pictures" but shite.

No content of value whatsoever. I stopped watching it before it was over.

Such a waste of a tenner.

easily one of my favourites, brilliant!

haha, yeah...it's very disappointing.

knock: I did the same thing, although I watched it on a dodgy streaming site. Utter toss. Overly long, emotionless, illogical, repetitive and empty. Bane's voice hysterically awful at first, then seriously grating. tbh I didn't like the last one either but it was slightly more entertaining / memorable than this shite.

That's not good news about the Batman film I was really looking forward to watching that over Xmas.

Best batman in my view is the 1960's series they show on ITV4 just before 4pm during the week.

If I were you I would d/l loads of those & watch them. The bad guys make me laugh in that Batman they all seem to have some weird Paraphilia.

Le Herrisson

A French film based on a book, it talks of a concierge(don't know how to translate this in English) who acts rough but is actually very sophisticated, likes Japanese literature and green tea and becomes friends with a new tenant in the building. I quite liked this film watched it in the cinema when it first came out.

Saw that t'other night as well. Not bad, not bad.

A film I haven't seen mentioned here is Session 9 Psychological horror. Filmed in a mental hospital. Nuff said.

A golden oldie: Caliber 9 Italian gangster fun.

The 90's animated series was good as well. Kinda need to be a kid again though. But yeah, do love to get really high and watch the 60's Batman. The Joker is ridiculous.

Dark knight and like knockando said, its shit. well the majority of it is, mess of a film. few good bits, decent after the 2 hour mark, few bits before, but mainly a drawn out load of cack

"It's a load of nice cinematography or "pictures" but shite." pretty much summed it up
