my top selection is......
El Topo by Alejandro Jodorowsky
The Holy Mountain by Alejandro Jodorwsky
Man bites dog by Rémy Belvaux
un chant d'amour by Jean Genet.
You seen any of Fernando Arrabal's stuff? He's a friend of Jodorowsky and is very much in similar vein. Not made many films but they're easily as surreal and tripped-out as Jodorowsky's stuff. Even more so really. If ya fancy a lil looksee sometime: Viva la Meurte is on PooToob and well worth a watch.
Man bites dog by Rémy Belvaux
Watched Batman - The Dark Knight Rises last night.
It's a load of shite, wasted two hours of my time. I was drawn in by the Hollywood extravaganza. It's a load of nice cinematography or "pictures" but shite.
No content of value whatsoever. I stopped watching it before it was over.
Such a waste of a tenner.
easily one of my favourites, brilliant!
That's not good news about the Batman film I was really looking forward to watching that over Xmas.
Saw that t'other night as well. Not bad, not bad.Just finished watching Lawless. Three hillbilly brothers have a nice quiet moonshine business on the go until one of them thar fancypantsy big city deputies done try to shake 'em down then take 'em down. Fueding ensues. Based on a true story with a screenplay and soundtrack by Nick Cave so worth a watch by default really. Pretty good film, bit slow maybe but looks great. Trailer.
Soundtrack's pretty good too: The Bootleggers - White Light, White Heat
Utter shite. Made the mistake of watching it last night. The latest Bourne is another one that turned out to be quite shit.
Best batman in my view is the 1960's series they show on ITV4 just before 4pm during the week.
If I were you I would d/l loads of those & watch them. The bad guys make me laugh in that Batman they all seem to have some weird Paraphilia.
