She's awesome :)

I'd REALLY like a mix between Firefly, Farscape and Battlestar Galactica
Now I could recommend Star Wars episodes 4-6,but something tells me you might have seen them a few times.And you might be one of the people,like me who insist on calling episode 4 STAR WARS,rather than A NEW FUCKING HOPE.And you may dislike episodes 1-3,and you may also dislike Lucas and his constant remixing of the original 3.You may want to knock Lucas out.And you would be right.
PS
Firefly = WIN
Serenity = WIN
Anyone who doesn't like them is wrong,all wrong.

^ I've got all the Star Wars, what Sci Fi fan hasn't?

Battlestar Galactica is also ace. I think the orignal is as well. I don't buy many DVD's/bluerays, but those that I do buy, is 'coz they ace!

Just watched this which was not too shabby...

Sibel is a young woman struggling against the demands of her strict Turkish father and brother. She just wants to be free to drink and dance and make love, and the only way she can escape is to marry a Turkish man. Cahit, with a hangover from hell, is very surprised when he receives a proposal of marriage from this beautiful, crazy girl he has just met in hospital. The biggest surprise of all however, is the turnaround that occurs in both their lives as Cahit and Sibel come back to their roots, a lost culture, and themselves.

If you've just read the synopsis you'll probably not want to see it, makes it sound pish!

I saw "Righteous Kill" with De Niro and Pacino on a plane this week. It's no bad (as parttime might say) but it's no classic. It might have been better on a big screen though.

I'm not just recommending the following film I'm recommending it with bells on. ;)

ANGEL-A follows self-described liar and shady businessman Andre (Jamel Debbouze), who is down on his luck and owes Parisian gangsters money. In a desperate and weak state, Andre finds himself on the edge of one of the City of Light's majestic bridges, ready to plunge into the river below. After one last look around him, he catches sight of a statuesque blonde woman, tears streaking down her gorgeous face, also standing on the ledge just a few feet away. She makes Andre forget about his problems for a moment, and he pleads with her not to jump. She does anyway, and he goes in after her, dragging her to safety. The damsel-in-distress, Angela (Rie Rasmussen), insists on hanging around Andre, doing whatever he tells her, as a way to pay him back for saving her life. Finding it hard to say no to her, and resisting her mesmerizing beauty, he recruits her, somewhat begrudgingly, to help him figure out how to settle his debts. What Andre soon discovers is that meeting Angela was no accident, and that they both need saving, not just from death, but also from themselves. ANGEL-A boasts entertaining performances by Debbouze as the scrappy and quick-tempered Andre and Rasmussen as the optimistic and unassumingly wise and playful Angela. The unlikely pair sparkle onscreen together. ANGEL-A is beautifully filmed, with the black-and-white cinematography capturing all that is engaging and romantic about Paris

Incredibly stylish, superbly shot, beautifully scenic, touching, funny and heart warming is this fairytale story, by the director of Nikita, Fifth Element and Leon. The french have a knack for great film making. :)

I <3'ed this.

It is absolutely superb though I've seen reviews saying that despite it's style and charm and that it's beautifully shot it's unable to follow through with substance but I disagree. I watched the whole thing with absolute delight, it was great and really happy and feel good. Superbly done all round I thought. Hunt it down Shambles and watch it ASAP! :)

I've just come across The Butterfly Effect 2 on lovefilm, why did they make a sequel. Not surprisingly has very bad reviews.

"The Class" is based on an autobiographical novel by Francois Begaudeau, a drama that follows the year in the life of a French schoolteacher working at a high-school in a tough neighborhood of Paris. Ethnicities, cultures and attitudes often clash in the classroom. As amusing and inspiring as the teenage students can be, their difficult behavior can still jeopardize any teacher's enthusiasm for the low-paying job. Francois insists on an atmosphere of respect and diligence. Neither stuffy nor severe, his extravagant frankness often takes the students by surprise. But his classroom ethics are put to the test when his students begin to challenge his methods.

Out at cinemas now, nominated for best foreign film at the Oscars (didn't win) and is really cool film.

Just watched Mysterious Skin which was a bit difficult to watch because it's full of hardcore gay sex scenes and paedophelia. The acting is terrible too but I have a feeling it was supposed to be like that. :\

One of my fave films, despite the unwatchable elements. The acting was terrible? Joseph Gordon-Levit absolutely made that film, one of the best performances ever. Did you watch the same film? For reference, have you seen third rock from the sun? Exactly. Brilliant soundtrack too, Slowdive, Cocteau twins, Ride, Sigor Ros...

Over all, an amazing film, and comprared to Greg Araki's other films, a total masterpiece.

He is a good actor, in Brick for example he's astounding and he's not too bad in Mysterious Skin but the rest of the cast are absolutely terrible. The acting is shite and the plots not that great either. It was a horrible film. Haven't seen any of the directors other efforts.

I'm surprised it's a favourite of anybodies.

It's based on a book, which is pretty good. Greg Araki has always directed very gay orientated films, mysterious skin being his serious film.

I loved it, really captured the dark humour and humanity of the book, and the story is fairly simple. It's all about abuse and love and the blur between to the two. It's pretty heavy I'll give you that.

difficult because you could barely see the screen with you wanking yourself silly?
