Reclaiming that Magic?

Hey all-- so the past couple of times I have tried to roll I just haven't been able to get that walking on air, euphoric feeling that E used to give me. After perusing through the forums here (I'm new; forgive me if this is a redundant post), it seems as though many people have experienced the same problem of losing that magical feeling no matter how many pills they take.

My question I guess is has anyone successfully reclaimed that magic? And if so, how many months did it take you to feel it again? I'm thinking of taking a 6 month break since 3 months didn't work for me last time.

[p.s. I know every pill is different and that can also affect your roll, but trust me when I say it isn't just the pills for me. I'm the only one in my group of 20+ rave buddies that has this problem.]

Depending on how much you abused MDMA and how much damage you actually caused to your brain then taking a 6 months break may help. Take a long break and see how you feel in 6/8 months time :).

There's really no way of "cheating the system" with time- you just have to be patient. You have to basically wait until you don't really remember what rolling felt like in the first place- I'm also a big advocate of piracetam prior to rolling.

First, we gotta know how many beans and times you have rolled in the last coupel months..?

Then we gotta know if you tested your beanz(maybe they were no mdma)?

And thrid then we can analyze why your not rollin...

But if youve been busin E (i.e. more than once a month), your just gonna have to wait 6-8 months. taking a break and rollin again is sofuckin sweet

6 months would give you better luck. Your other options....

1) Piracetam -- Many people report getting some if not all the magic back when taking piracetam. I got quite a good deal back with piracetam personally and it worked quite well

2) Methylone -- although a less hyperactive roll, m1 is quite magical on its own. It may not be MDMA, but it's most certainly a "magical" roll. The issue here is that methylone is notorious for losing its magic even more quickly than MDMA. For me, m1 is much more huggy and cuddly, but the bonding is most certainly there and the empathy is abundant.

3) Mephedrone -- many people say a lot of bad stuff about this drug, but the truth is you have to be careful with it just like any other drug (much like MDMA, really). I personally take it with piracetam as a way to combat the vasoconstrictive attributes of 4-methylephedrine, the main metabolite of 4-methylmethcathinone / mephedrone (the only time I experienced even mild cardiotoxicity, specifically tachycardia, was when I didn't take piracetam with mephedrone. It would be interesting to see if this helps others). In higher doses, 4-mmc feels very much like a magical MDMA roll (for me around 300 - 400mgs). In lower doses and snorted it more resembles cocaine with an entactogen-like euphoria (which is pretty cool in and of itself). I know this isn't conventional, but I forgot what a completely magical roll was like until I did mephedrone. There just needs to be more research done on it.

@MasterSplinter: My rolling history (always have done this with friends, never tested the pills myself but have found them on pill reports and each time all of my friends and, usually, i, have had a great time. so im thinking that it isnt lack of mdma.)
First time: 150mg molly (success)
2 months later: 3.5 beans (mad success)
2 months later: 400 mg molly (mad success)
3 months later: 450 mg molly (this is when i realized i didn't roll anymore. lights were boring, music was alright, some feelings of cuddliness, etc. some of my friends rolled a "little less" but still definitely rolled)
1 month later: 5.5 beans (honestly, nothing. got an amp-y feeling from my pills but no real rolling effects. lights were enjoyable but all of my friends who took the same beans said they had the best roll of their lives. they also took basically the same amount at the same events as me)

im thinking im just not as easily impressed now...? or perhaps i have less serotonin than them, recover less quickly, somethinggg is wrong i just dont know what.

@AylaV-- Wow I had never heard of piracetam until just now. Looks legal, like an herbal supplement. Seems like it has effects similar to addy, minus the potential for addiction and that cracked-out feeling i get from it. Is this something you take for its acute or chronic effects? Also, reading up on it doesn't sound like it's something you would roll on, but rather, something you would take to increase recovery so rolling was better next time. What's the dosage/frequency like? And what do you recommend I do in regards to piracetam for the next 6 months in preparation for my roll?

Jesus Christ 450mgs of molly....

You increased your dosage WAY too much. If you had stayed at 150-200mgs you would've been fine, but after going up from 150mg, to 3.5 then to 400(holy shit), 450(holyshit).
Your body quickly builds tolerance to MDMA, and the more you try to roll by taking more you'll only greater your tolerance and worsen your come downs.
Not a expert but thats what my guess is.

And sorry to kinda go off in a tangent here but, does taking very high doses of MDMA require you to take longer breaks in between for you to not "lose the magic". Cause usually people who take 2-3month breaks in between rolls have no problem with "losing the magic". According to this it seems true. Opinions/thoughts anyone?

I take 2.5g piracetam twice a day. It has done wonders for my ADD, ironically. I've noticed reports that if you want to increase your roll, you should only dose about three days before you roll. The issue is that piracetam is so amazing on its own that I take it all the time. The cognitive enhancement has completely changed my life. I had badly abused MDMA and some nasty stuff that I guess never went away -- either that or piracetam super-charged my memory. You can take it for acute or chronic. I recommend it to people that don't even have bad effects from MDMA. It simply enhances the roll and you don't get the hangover NEARLY as bad. Hell, the first time i rolled with piracetam I got that euphoric afterglow I only got the first five times I rolled. <3

It comes highly recommended from me for more than just loss of magic. It's simply a great supplement all around. Everything is simply "better". Fuck flouride in water, they should put this in water (although that would taste fucking awful :p ). It's completely non-addictive.. i forget to even dose some days (never crosses my mind). Give it a shot. I'd recommend this before exploring other drugs for that lost magic =)

not gonna lie i took a two YEAR break... (took a few pipes on accident along the way)... and still don't get that 'magical' feel anymore. maybe my brain is fried ;) , i donno, but i'm from chicago and i've eaten mints the last few times i've rolled. rolled balls no doubt, just not the same.

The last time I rolled was June 25th of this year, and I'm waiting until mid October for my next roll, so it'll be about 3.5 months. The reason I'm taking a break is because it took me 1.5 points of molly and 2.5 good pills to get a "good" roll. I still had the "magic" but I didn't feel like needing that much in a night to get where I was as a good thing.

I'm on a 1 month regimen of 3200mg piracetam per day, along with 200mg magnesium citrate in the morning, and another 400mg before bed. I also take a multivitamin daily and lift weights 5-6 times per week along with 3 30 minute cardio sessions per week. To top it off, I diet and regularly eat foods that are high in antioxidants (green tea, blueberries, etc) - I'm hoping all of this will bring the magic back.

In the mean time, there are other fun things to do other than E. I tried acid and found that I LOVED it, do coke a little bit, drink with my friends, or just be sober on my weekends :)

For the past year I've been a 3-4 pill a night kind of guy. Double drop and redose and it worked okay for the most part depending on the pill, but I did sense I had grown a tolerance and thus experienced a loss of magic during this time.

I know this isn't really harm reduction, but I have to say this, when I hippie flipped it, the magic was back. I only hippie flipped a few times this year, in the past recent months, but damn... Each time had me sweating and panting, eye wiggles, the whole 9 yards, just extremely gone every time. More euphoria than before I would add, maybe even as good as the first time I dropped even.

I don't know if it works the same way as taking a long break or if it brought my magic back completely, but it kicked my ass hard, harder than any other experiences in this past year and I can't deny the fact that the it was magical.

Now I'm getting ready to try my first candyflip. That should be an eye opener.
