Opioids Rebound Pain After Using Opiates

Has anyone ever noticed rebound pain after doing pharmaceutical opiates (moreso oxycodone and oxymorphone), even only for one day (without having a physical addiction)? Like I can be clean for a few weeks, and eat a couple of roxys one night, and the next day my back will be killing me. There's no way one single 90mg dose of oxycodone could send anyone into a withdrawal... and I noticed that this doesn't happen with heroin at all(which I have MUCH more limited use with, totallying less than ten times as opposed to hundreds with oxy.) I almost feel as if there's some mystery ingredient that big pharma puts in these pain pills to cause rebound pain or something... I don't know call me a tin foil hat but it just doesn't add up in my head. And taking my daily scripted klonopin somewhat eases the pain, moreso than pot... what the hell is that all about?

when I use hydromorphone (IV) I taper at 2miligram a shot 4-6 times a day for the last 2 days then quit cold turkey, with benzos of course. This method usually works great for me. I guess i would be more in a binge using category then your recreational once in awhile use though =/

Dont get me wrong, I've gone a good year physically addicted, was off for about six months, and I still catch a slight withdrawl every once in a while from binging 3-4 days on shit. It's just these times that it's not even more than a day and no repeated doses durign that day that I'm feeling EXTREMELY achey the next day that just doesn't make sense to me. And Roxys in particular really bring it out.
 
yeah drugs affect everyone differently but i have definitely noticed that oxycodone (instant release 30mil roxies) gives me a much worse withdrawal headache type feeling than hydromorphone. This is probably why I prefer hydro over the oxy ... plus the rush is better =) although I will bang roxies too but I will never taper with roxies when quitting. Only hydropmorhone.
 
I would suggest getting a different opiate substance to switch to from your roxy use thats an easier taper, for example hydromorphone.

I'm not hooked on roxys, haven't been for ages. I'm saying I'll not have done any for weeks, and dose once one single day, and the next day my back will be killing me all day. One dose isn't enough to cause any sort of withdrawal in anyone, that's why I'm so confused about these back pains. My back never normally hurts..
 
yeah I have no clue what thats caused from, sorry I couldn't be more of a help. Again i would just maybe get another pill to use right after u dose a roxy so that ur body adjusts to the other opiate with less symptoms then the ones the roxy seems to be causing you. sorry mate =/ maybe someone else will take over the thread with more insite about this roxy phenomenon.
 
I've had this before, exact same thing. I honestly think it's because opiates block up your intestines and constipation can cause lower back pain. Make sure to eat diuretics while injesting opiates. Also maybe you over exerted(strained your back) yourself while on the roxies and just didn't feel that you had hurt yourself until the next morning?

what i think happens is that while you are high on a pain killer, your body doesn't feel the normal pain so you think you are comfortable. however once the effects wear off, you are back to normal and the blocked pain is not blocked any more and you feel it.
 
I was clean for a year off of heroin and did a bunch of dope one night, and I noticed I still had a little tolerance, more than when I first shot dope ever, and the next day I still got with drawls. That is after a whole year of not doing any opiates. I decided that it just wasn't ever worth it to me, because of that. I tried again on a separate occasion maybe 4 months after and same thing. I am glad, because it makes me not even want to do it. I think of shooting dope, and I think of being sick and feeling horrible now.
