Really Tripping with pets

if your talking about my dogs water bowl then yes, there is something in it, and its called liquid lsd. :p

this weekend im gunna make a video montage of my dogs trippin the fuck out ill upload on youtube to show you guys how hilarious it is LOL !!!

I hope you have a slow and painful death you sick fuck.

I'm all for experimentation without harm involved, but I think its near impossible. If you give animals psychedelics, there is a chance, probably quite slim that they will enjoy it. Whats more likely to happen is they get uncomfortable, and you are just making them suffer for 5,6 hours.

If your dog does it on accident, how? Can't you people keep your shit in a secure place, its not that hard.

I think frosty noggets was joking, so my reply to him only half serious, but if serious...... pretty fucked up that your dog had to go through a bad trip for your enjoyment.

Umm...

As admittedly funny as it would be to load a dog up on acid, I'm quite sure it's considered animal abuse any where on the planet.

How would you like it if your mother or father decided to drop a few hits of acid in your morning milk, and let you have no say in it?

Aside from being one fucked up morning; it'd be down-right unfair.

I suggest leaving the drugging/testing animals for the scientists and professionals.

i would be like... thanks for the free acid!!!

btw i was just trolling because some people are getting way to mad . . . i dont even have a dog :)

Lol, but thats how many dogs act after they got wet, or had a bath. I saw another similar vid on there I looked up after first reading this thread, and many agreed in the comments that it had just had a bath.

Yeah the poster said they just got done cleaning her ears :P

Just saying, people give animals all sorts of drugs all the time. And some animals take some drugs voluntarily. Somewhere between this and giving drugs to your pets it becomes morally objectionable, which is interesting, I think.

Animal eats plant containing drug in the wild - fine, animal eats drug from it's owners hand - not fine...
Edit: And somewhere in the middle of this you have neurobiologists and pharmaceutical companies looking at the effects of drugs in animals.

I never said anything about how animals might experience any drug.

Dude no shit animals will self dose euphoric drugs! Elephants eating fermented fruit and that sort of thing, but psychedelic chemicals are WAY different.

A dog uses alcohol or something, there's only really one result that can happen emotion wise...

Psychedelics are completely unpredictable in even creatures that have a perfectly high level of awareness of what has just happend when they dosed, so how do you expect something with such small level of awareness derive euphoria from say lsd?

It is completely different to giving your dog benzos or alcohol. Do you dog-druggers even consider the mental trauma your dog could be going through just because hes not crying or visibly freaking out dosn't mean he's not scared or confused out of his mind..

No shit you people that are trying to justify dosing your dogs with psychedelics are morons. And i bet you ALL would have the double standard of not beleiving it's okay for someone to unknowingly dose you... Or you guys wouldn't think it's right to dose your friend up without telling him, now tell me how the fuck is it okay to dose up a dog and not a person?

This is ridiculous!!

I've always wondered about animals tripping, I've heard bears eat psilocybin mushrooms intentionally and knowingly and reindeer in russia(i think) eat amanita muscaria mushrooms (oh the alliteration!)

But to dose your pet! the big dog should certainly have felt that 1 1/2 hit but the other doses seem pretty low to be effective even in those small animals.

I always felt like the content and importance of a trip comes from the fact that we are human and are attempting to put the whole experience into some context the entire time, an animal tripping I just am trying to imagine... would they really have an "expanded mind" as we like to say or would they feel mostly clinical/pharmacological effects.

it had to have happened out there I guess!

Do you have any sources or proof that bears intentionally eat psilocybin mushrooms? And i mean not just a video of one eating a few live shrooms just once, but like documented cases of the animals "tripping" so to speak and then coming back for more of that same feeling?

Some how i think once the animal associates those intense confusing thought disturbances that happen to it's reality with the mushrooms it wouldn't keep consuming them.

Just because a few people have seen deer eat a shroom, this isnt proof that they enjoy the effect of the drugs and come back for more, specifically for this feeling.

I guess I can understand that people might be curious about this, but how the fuck is it "funny"? What is this oh fuggit.

Psychedelic compounds in plants are probably a defence... meant to frighten or 'poison' the animal psychologically so it's put off.

Yeah seriously pnut3844 and some other's have a highly fucking retarded sense of logic.

I just can't beleive the ignorance. You fuckheads only gave your animals drugs for your own pleasure ("oh man its funny as fuck to watch them trip"-as some wanker remarked) then coming up with these stupid fucking logical(in your mind maybe) justifications for it...

Oh LSD isn't toxic so my dog is safe it's okay or oh well we KILL cows and pigs to eat them so surely giving my dog lsd is less cruel than what we do to livestock....

Those who support giving dogs drugs are the biggest fucking idiots alive, seriously they get high on life, why dont you go take them for a run along the beach or something, guess what, they would enjoy a walk with you 10x as much as you just dropping acid onto their food and waiting for them to show signs of intoxication for you to laugh at.

Scum on earth.

he obviously loved his animals very much. even though he did something stupid to them. it doesnt make him a retard. im sure some of you dopes have done one or two regrettable things.

"put here?" It all makes sense now... one-a them-thar flaming inbred brain-damaged retarded psychotic brainwashed "believer" assholes.

Goddess save us, please, and de-molecularize this grotesque stinky nutcase at the earliest possible opportunity.

EDIT: ah, I see you admit is was a troll and that you never even did acid yourself, and you even have a cat you are fond of. So, as the immortal Ms. Emily Littella said on the classic 1st season on Saturday Night Live: "NEVER MIND!"

And for anyone reading this who is THINKING of dosing an animal - please print the above description and glue it to your forehead. Thank you!

id be too scared of the dog or cat if they went crazy. i'd have to lock them in a room and how fucked up would that be? hearing them run into the walls and barking and meowing in agony? thats just my opinon

to the guy that said they would get something out of it, no they wouldn't, because they are given it UNKNOWINGLY It would be no different than giving a human acid without them knowing, they would be scared, freak out, and gain nothing from the experience.

As much as I am guilty of this, isn't it hypocritical to wish harm to people who say blase and cruel things about animals?

Just saying.

I mean, lab animals can be 'trained' to take LSD, but I believe they generally avoid any hallucinogens if given the chance. Makes me really wonder if humans are the smart ones after all ;)

I honestly think that way too much importance is placed on keeping people and animals from being in pain. Pain is simply a biological adaptation to avert a creature from a dangerous situation -- it's mostly useful for us to consider pain something to be avoided at all costs, but not always. I think it can be justified in return for valuable information gained from experiments.

I just wouldn't dose my pets in an uncontrolled setting, because A) I'd be afraid of psychologically damaging my furry friends, and B) I'd be afraid of causing a psychotic break in the animal and endangering my own safety.
