Damn right it is. This is why I wasn't overly worried when my stupid daughter necked 48 ibuprofen last week in some pathetic suicide attempt. Had it been paracetamol, she could have died.
sorry to hear about that again FUBz, is she doing alright now?
Yes thanks mate. Can't believe she didn't even get bad gut rot. She must have an iron stomach, just like her dad![]()
Having watched my Grandad become a martyr to his digestive system (he was practically shotgunning Gaviscon from the bottle towards the end) and seen my mother develop all the same signs and symptoms herself (but preferring a cheaper, generic pill based upon the sam eactive ingredient), I feared the worst. And whem my sister (who used to suffer terrible car sickness -- ofter over me) was diagnosed with the catch-all IBS (to be fair, her bowels are not the only irritable part -- another trait from that side of the family .....) I began to fear the worst; but up to now, I seem to have got off lightly, having apparently inherited from my father the heart and stomach of a concrete elephant. I'm also older now than my mum or her dad were when they started, which gives me some hope.Yes thanks mate. Can't believe she didn't even get bad gut rot. Have been avoiding tablets and most drug related stuff (hence my small vacation from here for a week or so) but today I fancied a codeine buzz so I bought 1x Care+ sugar free codeine linctus. 600mg of codeine and no paracetamol and it was really cheap so can't go wrong. In fact it was a post i saw lurking on here that gave me the idea because I have never tried a CWE so it was a much easier alternative :D
Also a couple of weeks ago I managed to obtain a bottle of oramorph and I enjoyed it highly, but then I come on here and see loads of people saying that "Oral morphine is a waste". I don't get it though, how else are you supposed to take oramorph? it's an oral solution so I don't think I could have easily extracted the pure morphine, and even if I could I would have just snorted it because I don't like IV.
I tried it once about a month ago when I had a shot of IV H and although it was amazingly euphoric, I don't like needles, and had to get someone else to do it for me and I didn't like that I had to hide my arm for about a week until the bruise had gone. So although I have ticked it off my list I wont be repeating the experience again.
Oral morphine only has 20% or so oral bioavailability hence people calling it a "waste." But in reality Oramorph bottles are so big you can make up for the low BA with pure high dosing regardless. Very abusable stuff.
Anyway is this thread also for dihydrocodeine discussion? Imo DHC is a very different drug to codeine but I imagine BL rolls the discussion into one.
When you can obtain large quantities of DHC (hundreds of the buggers) they quickly become highly addictive and when you decide to have a tolerance break because you need almost a gram to feel it you end up rattling and suddenly realising shit I'm addicted.

so you are saying over 25,000 mgs of ibuprofen are safe?! Well i never knew that i wonder why... Oh yeah because it balony and it could get someone who reads this into serious trouble or even death who lets their kids near freakin painkillers anyway
If telling you and your mate not to have dangerous life threataining medication around childrens makes me a manchild or whatever then so be it I think i know who the real winner is
yeah DHC is allowed, it being a codeinoid after all.
"You don’t wake up one morning and decide to be a drug addict. If you have never been addicted, you can have no clear idea what it means to need junk with the addict’s special need. You don’t decide to be an addict. One morning you wake up sick and you’re an addict. (Junky, Prologue, p. xxxviii)”
― William S. Burroughs, Junky
So you think its ok for him to let his kid loose with ibuprofen and stuff knocking around?
Burroughs was a wise man.
I'm pretty sure you were also raised in a home with ibuprofen and paracetamol just knocking around.
But I'm also pretty sure you're a troll.
where do you get 25,000mg?so you are saying over 25,000 mgs of ibuprofen are safe?!
Burroughs was a nonce? First I've heard of that. Violent doesn't surprise me considering.
