I recently got a testing kit from dance safe and tested some molly I have. The color chart from dance safe lists the reaction times with the colors and my reactions happen way fast.

Marquis looks just a tad tan for a fraction of a second and then goes pretty much straight black. Mecke looks very dark nearly instantly. Mandelin goes pretty much straight black ins instantly. When part B is added to simons it turns a very bright deep blue as soon as the drop hits. The molly it self is a dark brown, big shiny clumps, and extremely pungent ( as in you can smell is through the bag)

Is this a sign of a quality product or a bad testing kit or environment?

It's a good sign, for the most part. It means you have a concentrated reaction, but it also likely signifies that you are using too much product to test. You should have like a milligram, at the most haha. A teeny tiny spec of a sample should be able to set off a whole puddle in time.

The mecke reacts very fast though, it has a very strong MDMA reaction. All the reagents should begin reacting as soon as the puddle hits the sample, though. For other substances like 2C-B, the color of the reaction will change over time as it is oxidized by the air, so the color-time chart will be more helpful with those.
