I used for ten years, last two, with a point. been sober two years srong, mostly due to my ten month old dsughter....unfortunately, her daddy succumbed to the disease...he committed suicide in may of last year...My father dedicated to his life to helping addicts recover for thirty eight years, an amazing man who has never lost faith, in his clients, nor I . My brother died of a heroin overdose in 2003.....I just want to help other suffering addicts...I've layed upon skid row wanting to die for years...I'd just like to offer support and help..
I was never addicted to methamphetamine and stopped using it without any withdrawal symptoms - so good luck!
I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter's father committed suicide. That's horrible, and if you want to talk about it, The Dark Side is a great place to. You also have a blog if you would like to use it.
I'm also so sorry to hear about your brother who died of a heroin overdose. I was addicted to heroin for about a year before getting clean with the help of Suboxone.

Have you thought about going to school to become a Social Service worker or do you volunteer for anything in your city? I bet you could find alot of love, support, understanding, and be able to reach out to a lot of people and probably save a lot of lives. It would kind of like be doing it not just for yourself, but for your Father and Brother. This is a sad tale that I know you can def. make a positive out of, and BL is a great place to start!

That's a rough ride you've been on hun. We all hit rock bottom at some time or another, some worse than others. I see the human race as one family, and we are the adventurous black sheep of it lol. The more extreme among us can take it too far and become self-destructive. For me it was drink that caused a lot of problems. But we are here for each other. We all teach and learn from one another
