She is not the original author. I wrote the Matrix when I was in the second grade. I don't know how she got a hold of it.

I didn't so much write it as prophesy it. I foresaw it. It came to me like a gospel.

I don't care if I get credit or not. I only care that people's eyes are opened to the truth: that our world is a simulation.

Consider yourselves warned.
 
Well to be honest Baudrillard's estate should get a cut of the check and by that order so should Jorge Luis Borges.

But what the hell...its not like a script costs that much. Hindsight being 20/20 they should have just given her 30k for the rights, or the studio to get the rights and be done with it.
