So last night I was taken aback when my friends were taken aback upon discovering that I like to take books into the bathroom to read when I'm sitting on the toilet. It came up when I was telling the story of why I started reading Gulliver's Travels (which I'm currently reading). I was dangerously close to going to the toilet, but I wanted to take something to read in with me, so I ran into my brother's room, which was next to the bathroom, and frantically went through his shelves for a book that I wanted to read. I saw Gulliver's Travels and grabbed it.
"I hope you haven't brought any of my books into the toilet!" one of my friends said in shock.
"Umm... I definitely have, sorry," I replied. If I was borrowing his books at the time, then they would undoubtedly have been the books I brought in there with me. If I'm at home, and I have some time free, I love to bring a book to the toilet with me. On weekends I do it each morning. I polish off a chapter or two. Obviously I also read newspapers and magazines, whatever's on hand really.
So, let's get to the bottom of this BL'rs!
