Reading books while high?

Gotta love the enhanced visualizations from being stoned. Makes books into live action movies
 
I really enjoy reading when I'm high, provided I'm not too tired, and then some tea helps with that.

Also I think throwing some kratom into the mix (if I just want to spend the whole afternoon/evening reading) makes for a great time. Good reading material for me would be Kurt Vonnegut or Joseph Heller (Catch 22, etc).

I've never tried listening to any audio-books while high, but this thread has me really wanting to try that (deciding between The Inferno & the Iliad, 6 hours either way)
 
^I agree. You can actually overthink on weed, and it gets bad. You'll sit there contemplating everything and whoosh, there goes 6 hours you coulda used to do somethin
 
it can be pretty difficult to read while high, mostly because my attention span becomes handicapped after a few hits. weed can make some books interesting, but i find it challenging to just pick up any book and enjoy it. it's usually a hit or miss kind of thing for me. books don't usually do the trick for me though. i prefer video games or music or food lol.
 
Its awesome to see other people reading while high! Most people think i'm crazy when i tell them about it.

I have to say that Fantasy is my favorite to read high.

I remember the first books i read high was the Chronicles Trilogy from Dragonlance.

Listening to music while reading high can have some knarly effects. While I was finishing up the last novel in the Chronicles Trilogy Dragonforce - Through the Fire and Flames came on shuffle (rawr, dragon overload!) and kicked my imagination into high gear.

Epic battles + epic music = legendary trip!

I love reading while stoned. Best book I ever read while high was "dreamquest of unknown kadath" by h.p. lovecaft. You want weed to make you trip balls then i suggest you read it. Its a book that you can read in one sitting, but i would always trance out and have a out of body experience when I read it whilst high, like lucid dreaming to the point where shit from the book is happening before your eyes. Beautiful stuff to experience imo

The one time I read HP Lovecraft stoned I had the worst nightmare I've had in years. It kind of makes me wonder because I never dream while stoned. Cthulhu must be warching me 8(

My recommendation to read is the Lady Penitent series by Lisa Smedman. I felt her writing style flowed very well with the high.
