What is it that his mind
Searches for,
Bound with black desire?

Another's past, viewed in
The smoke of this
Funeral pyre.

Another's wish, some other's
Kiss left like
Blisters on full lips.

Another's dream, miasma haze.
Voice unseen I left on the page,
From which you turned, sight
Un-heard, into some other day.

He will find you again,
So we can begin
Our prior reconstruction.

What is it that his soul
Longs for, desolate dreams
Of the day?

Another's bliss, drowned in
An edge of soft mist.
The warning signs he missed.

From blisters to ashes to a kiss.
A trinity of love, birth and lust.

He will find you again,
So we can begin,
To re-construct.

What you left behind,
The plateaus you climbed
Nail marks in granite like
Road-signs.

Why has he followed, for this
Era of erratic epiphanies?
The pills that she swallowed,
For estatic eternities.

Why does he return,
To scripts interred
They were buried for a reason.

Bumpity bump.

I'd like some feedback on this one, any takers?

It was meant to start as a gothicesque poem but morphed into lyrics. I think the first few verses are cheesy but it improves...

I think this would definetly work as lyrics. I can hear a really HIM sound to be honest with you. I'm not really one for anything too gothic but I don't think this is bad at all. Could you write the music for it, or know anyone that could? It would be something worth exploring because it does seem to flow very well and with the right melody backing it up I think it would work.
