RC Harm Reduction - 2c's

So I have been sitting on 250mg of 2c-i, 2c-e, and 4-aco-dmt for about a month now. The only one I have tried is the 4-aco-dmt, and i just eyeballed some, and sure enough it gave me a nice trip. Lasted about five hours, I felt like four days had gone by.

Anyways, with the 2c's, I've heard there is a relatively steep dosage curve, that is to say that there's a fine line between not tripping and tripping. I just don't want to overdo it. And no, I don't have a thousand bucks to spend on a scale, lol. The place I got it from had a pretty rudimentary measuring system, it looks like. The baggies literally have the substance name written on them with a sharpie.

Anybody have any advice?

A scale doesn't cost a thousand bucks, and yes they (the 2Cs) do have really steep dosage curves.

There are other methods of doing measurement besides using a scale.

It is basically impossible to accurately eyeball the 2C-x compounds. You can get a nice analytical balance on eBay for ~300 dollars if you keep your eyes open - it's worth the money if you're gonna use these long-term.

if you insist on low-budget dosing, look for the threads here on BL about volumetric dosing and be careful...

Or you can try liquid dosing. Pretty much, say you have 500 mg of 2C-E. You get 50 mL of a substance to dissolve it in, say vodka. Bam, now you have a 1:10 ratio of mL:mg. In other words, for every 1 mL of liquid you take, you're taking 10 mg. You can do it with any ratio you want, but try not to go too concentrated.

But, you should still at least borrow a scale to make sure how much you were sent is accurate.

I'm personally gonna do a 1:1 ratio for myself, but I just suggested 1:10 as that's what most people use. The only thing that sucks is having to store a huge bottle lol.

Yeah before you go any further discussing harm reduction without wanting to buy a scale (which seems silly to me), realize that they don't have to cost more than 30$ so invest your energy in searching for that, you can use the Big & Dandy Scale Thread for a LOT of suggestions. Should be impossible to come up dry.

Even if you choose the wrong one or are unlucky with the build of the specimen scale you get... you should still be able to combine weighing with liquid measurement by weighing like 10 doses instead of one, then dissolving it in a known volume of liquid and split the liquid in 10 parts using relatively cheap materials like syringes (no actual needles are needed, no injection in your body either so don't worry... sometimes the term 'oral syringe' is used).

Don't eyeball anymore or ask how to do it best, instead pay attention to the above.^

You can get a mg scale on Amazon for $18, shipped.

I know very few vendors that will even do any size order for $18.

ALWAYS USE A SCALE (mg scales are fun too!)

Thanks all! I am going to check into a cheap scale, just to make sure my initial purchase quantity was more or less correct from the vendor. I think this is my best option before I try any kind of volumetric methods.

EDIT: Going with a scale on amazon for $30, should have it before too long
