Rave Question

Okay so my friend told me about a rave that's coming up. Its a DDR theme apparently. Does everyone dress up at these things? (I don't know what rave clothes look like or have them or anything)
What's the best thing to wear o.o
 
^comfort is definitely the way to go. Dress up if you want, it's not like a nightclub with dress-code. Peoples' clothing usually varies - regular street clothes to bright retro colors to rave-costumes to just underwear :p

I personally just go in street clothes and bring a hoodie incase it gets cold. It's always easier to shed a layer than to be freezing your ass off the entire night.
 
One nice thing about raves is it doesn't matter too much what you wear. Even if there's a theme to the party you can get away with wearing street clothes. I've seen people in everything from fancy club wear to bathing suits to a worn in t-shirt and holey jeans.

A word of advise though, along with what other people have said, don't wear your most favorite shirt, hoodie and/or pants. Specially if you're rolling. I've had many friends who wind up shirtless halfway through the night and when it's time to go can't remember where they placed their lucky favorite shirt.
 
Like others said, the beauty of raves is they are a place where whatever you choose to wear and express yourself with is going to be accepted. I guarantee you that no matter how all-out crazy you go with your outfit, there will be someone there to top you. I don't usually dress up too much (aside from bright colors and some kandi :P) and I usually go for comfort. You are going to be dancing your ass off, so wear comfortable pants, shoes, shirts, etc... and express yourself however you feel fit. Enjoy your first rave, hope the vibes are good, it will be a great experience. :)
 
if you ain't got kandy all over your neon clothes and glowsticks & leds on your hands, you ain't a raver... JK lol
