^I was really disappointed when the beat never dropped, it was like a build-up stuck in a loop that never finally dropped. I was like, ok, is this like a cock tease or something? I hate songs that give you blue balls. It works well if you you mashed it up with another electro or house track, but on it's own IMO it's just a let down.

club bangin' Electro House

I swear to god, electro house is generated by computers. you input a bunch of samples and out sprays the last 4 years in popular electronic music. ugh. 3/10, for being unimginative and soulless, but still better than a lot of crap that passes for music (aka dubstep).

Adam K and Soha - Question

the distinction is that the electro you posted relies on one big, in-your-face riff to get your attention, whereas the track I posted relies on subtly adding bits and pieces until the combined finished product is far, far more than simply the sum of its parts. something that could not be done by simply plugging a series of riffs into a machine and having them arranged into some random order that gets called a track. the track I posted and the track you posted really have nothing to do with each other in terms of style or production values. in freeloader, there is no coherence between the different parts of the track, whereas in Question, everything sort of climaxes together at the end. try listening to the entire track, and paying attention to that.

anyway, since you didn't post a track, here's another example of what I am talking about:

Mark Brown - New Heights (Smith and Selway rmx)

edit: these tracks are wasted on laptop speakers. you NEED decent bass to get them.

^More contradiction. Everything you just mentioned is exactly how Freeloader sounds, Freeloader is about a million times better than Question. I have plenty of Adam K tracks. I think you just have some negative stigma towards Electro, as if Progressive is made any differently. I don't know where you came up with all these fallacies on how Electro is created, but lol man you have no idea how much work goes into producing these songs. It takes layers of work, there's no magical machine that does the work for you. I mean there's Arpeggio VST's but they still don't create the music for you...

I've listened to Question many of times, I have it on my computer. It's a decent track, but it by no means has this incredible build up that you speak of. It's nothing special. It has a nice beat, but it's house all house sounds awesome in the Club. Sorry to burst your bubble but Progressive is losing its originality too.

That song you just posted wasted 8 minutes, without any climax. No beat finally dropping at any point. Another song that doesn't deliver from the Progressive Genre. It continues on, with a steady house beat, adding random sounds as it "Progresses" but it doesn't have a melody that delivers or a hook that get's you pumped. Worst example you could have given for Progressive.

2/10

Since you ignored my last song, I'll try again:

This song, delivers from the get go. With the same hard house beat that bumps in the club, BUT then it finally builds up and drops. This is the instrumental so you can listen to the work that goes into these tracks. That doesn't come from some magical machine you speak of...

Of course its the same overall concept as all EDM, but that's why we listen to it, because we like it.
