At the risk of upsetting you, I'd probably venture a 3.5/10. I've heard a lot worse modern trance tracks & I did quite comfortably sit down and listen it all the way through without skipping to the end so that's something. To me it managed to extend about 2 minutes worth of ideas into 10+ minutes of music, structurally the song was formulaic, it lacked any groove or decent b-line, the synths sounded cheap and nasty and even the 303 sounded week and sanitised TBH :/ The AUX 88 track I'd give a 6/10 like you said it does sound dated and they have made much better tracks than that one which have stood the test of time much better.
I can tell by your track selection that you are obviously a psy-trance guy so check this track out, it's extended and trance-y but it has substance and originality to it (it's also a techno track, but so was a lot of the original trance sound if you know your history) :D check it out:
Interesting idea, but I find myself wanting more from it. I want it to drop into something more fluid, like a techstep kind of breakbeat underneath (see track posted below). 5/10
this song has everything that I dislike about 'modern' music. I hate the materialism endorsed by hip hop. I absolutely LOATHE the off key electro house nonsense that you can't walk into a club without hearing. however, I liked the girls dressed as wile e coyote. that was a nice touch.
