Rate the song above you: Music that isn't entirely electronic

love how it makes my sub(woofer) work while staying mellow. it's relaxing. i have trouble with songs without vocals, especially female vocals. so the few seconds with the girl are definitely my favorite. i don't really like the idea of giving a song outside of the genres i prefer and that i've only heard twice a numerical rating, but the "what are you listening to" thread is gone, i like the idea of these threads that promote interactive posts, and i don't like being the asshole who ruins the game. 6.5/10. i'm glad it heard it. now three times.

8/10 - can't say I've heard these guys before. Or at least I don't know them. Pretty fucking awesome. Thanks for the introduction.

7/10
the sound is a bit too radio-friendly for my taste, although the song is better than 90% of the stuff they play on the radio.
i like it a tad edgier.

I can't tell if you're joking. I'd never think to describe BJM as "radio-friendly"...

6/10, it was an interesting sound at first, but it didn't really go anywhere and by the end I was pretty bored of it.

hmm, im not sure how I feal about it on first listen, maby it would grow on me. id give it a 6/10, 5-6 being something i could listen to and enjoy if someone puts it on, 7-10 being good enough that i would want to hear more of the bands/artists music. I almost just stopped it within the first minute tho. Around 1:30 when it glided into a more ambient sound it caught my ear, the singers voice complemented that soundscape more nicely and the windchimes or whatever they were were a nice touch ha :) then, the song slowly built back up and picked up were it left off unfortunately but i was a bit more accepting of the band by then and it was much more listenable then it was at first. My problem is is that they seem not to care that (aside from the section of the song i addressed above) they are a complete cliché of early 2000s inde rock/ subculture music. Basic acoustic guitar chords. a lead singer with an interesting voice but little vocal range or real emotion. violins just to be artsy. eh, 6/10, that is all

Well the first song is a -3 and the second is a 9, so I guess you get a 6 for both of them together. Sorry, I hate atmosphere.

Not my favorite song off that album but I hadn't seen that music video and it was pretty... well out there. I loved it. It actually gave me chillbumps for a few minutes.
8/10, 6/10 without the video.

To Bigfanofthemdrugs: You should have posted Here Comes Everybody, that's a way better Autolux song.
