Booze (3/10) - Bleh, I've never liked this stuff. You're buzzed, but you can't really enjoy it because your mind is barely working. Why is this the most popular high in the USA again? Oh yeah, because the government wants people to be kept stupid![]()
burn out said:no, it's popular because its legal and its legal because prohibition was a massive failure. since it had been legal for so long before that, society wasn't terrified of re-legalizing it like they are terrified of legalizing the more mysterious drugs despite prohibition failing to eradicate them. there is no conspiracy about wanting people to be kept stupid, if that were true the government should legalize all CNS depressants.
as for only giving it a 3/10, i think that's underestimating it. why do you think so many people who have access to lots of illegal drugs still drink alcohol? its because, in small amounts especially, alcohol can be a relatively safe and enjoyable drug.
AFAIK most people just don't know that poppy pods can be "abused," and if it were common knowledge they would vanish utterly. Does that clear the picture up for you any?BodhiSvaha33 said:Now I'm confused as hell. I mean, there are RCs that are unscheduled and probably not even analogs, but you still can't buy them from US vendors on the internet, much less OTC. Poppy pods are sold in craft stores. I've seen 'em. And from what I understand, they are mostly P. somniferum.
Not all that cheap.smackem said:I hate even talking about pods, cause I know, one day, the party will be over. Cheap, quasilegal morphine. MMMHHHH
MDPVagrant said:Ditto, although the physical side effects do indeed blow. The CNS stimulation is FAR better than anything you'll get from ephedrine IMO, but you do have to put up with the peripheral uglies to get it.
P.S. currently experimenting with hydroxyzine pamoate (an excellent potentiator) and tramadol, to see if this is a good enough combination to challenge codeine...

eon_blue said:Don't waste your time with seeds, you'll get way better results with pods.
Most seeds these days are "washed" to prevent abuse anyway.
edit: then again, if you're brand new to opiates you might want to start with seeds, or maybe 1 or 2 large pods. I've given my opiate-free girlfriend a tea made of 6 large pods that had her vomiting for hours and gasping for breath at one point.
Blew my mind, but hey...it happened. And yes, I felt like an asshole![]()

garuda said:I have encountered 2 grades if you will of poppy seed.
1. Most common grade, a pound washed and the wash ingested feels subjectively like 5mg of morphine, total waste not even worth bothering with.
2. Rare grade, a pound washed feels like 60-100mg of morphine depending on batch, wonderful energetic high.
P.S. late 2005 had some outrageously potent seeds on the bulk market.
