I have bought what was sold to me as meth on numerous occasions. The first sack I ever bought was a half gram of what the dealer called "ice". I just figued he meant high quality meth though. Well after smoking it I felt great, but not the rushy amphetamine feeling you get from d-amphetamine. But I just assumed it was meth because I didn't know what to expect. I bought a few more sacks and had a good time with those, except I was curious about the long duration and lack of instant rush from smoking. After more experience I learned that the first few times I bought "meth" it was actually 4-methylaminorex (ice). Since then, between two different dealers, about half the time I got 4-mar (much to my disliking as it's only good the first few times) and half the time I would get high quality methamphetamine. Now the thing is that 4-mar is supposedly extremely rare, but I'm beginning to doubt that. I've been wondering how much shit is sold as "ice, glass" or even meth but is really 4-mar. For an inexperienced user it could be very hard to tell the difference between the two, and in the beginning I just assumed it was different quality meth each time. Now my question is, do you think that 4-mar is really that rare? Or just virtually unknown in the drug scene because it's just passed off as meth. I think I also heard that the synthesis of 4-methylaminorex is quite easy which would support my theory, correct me if I'm wrong. Any input?
