So im just up thinking about some stuff. There was a doctor a few months ago that was talking to me when I was in the hospital. This was when I was only prescribed 2mg kpins. She looked at me and said “sir just to let you know this medication clonazepam is very strong and addictive and there are better more effective medications out there these days like lexapro, Prozac, zoloft ”. I said “ok thanks for the info. If my doctor and I want to change anything we will discuss this” (I guess she couldn’t see that I’ve tried all those meds with no success) . She says “well I’m going to contact your doctor and let him know my thoughts on you being prescribed clonazepam for this long”. I said “ why would you do that for ma’am, you don’t know my background and what I’m been through to warrant me being prescribed long term benzos”. She looked back at me and sarcastically smiled and said “ well I’m still going to call your doctor and just let him know my thoughts.” I just replied back “seems like you doctors that work for these big corporations are against the medications that have been proven to work but whatever.” Anyway I said that to say this F*cK these doctors that are Anti-Benzo and Anti-opioid. Regardless of what these fuxk heads believe there are those of us who need these meds on a daily basis to function to the best of our ability. That’s all rant over

What a bitch,I seen the likes of her with other people,Im a very sweet and kind person but I have the snap factor when I see cruelty and injustice thats quiet fierce actually,I have to be very mindful on self control

in my experience, doctors do not enjoy other doctors calling them out of the blue to tell them how to be a doctor.
i hope your doc wasn’t as polite as you.

2mg clonaz for a decade without knowing a damn thing about you… she’s basically playing a game of tattletale? how bizarre.
she’s definitely the kind of cunt that likes to be a cunt because of the abbreviation in front of her name.

Exactly bitch. I was close to cussing her ass out man. Sadly my primary care doc is cool as hell but he’s kinda a pushover so she did get him to lower my kpins after I had been with him for 10 years wtf ! I was prescribed by the same doc 2mg kpins a day 30 tabs a month. After the convo with her he lowered me to 10 2mg tabs a month. I said fuck this ! I like the guy so I still use him as my primary care but I still found my a diff doctor. Lucky my new sub doc upped my kpins to where I even have extra if I need them. He upped them to 4mg a day.

Yeah shit pisses me off like you don’t even know me yet you know why I shouldn’t be taking benzos but I should be on a multitude of ssris and other placebo problem inducing meds

i hate the ssri game so many doctors play. i’ve never had a good experience with any of them, ever. i’d rather self medicate, thanks.

Exactly. Fuck those ssri. I hate to say this I don’t want to offend people on here but the people who feel like they are experiencing positives from ssris I feel are getting placebo effects lol. Benzos work for anxiety , ptsd etc point blank period. Jsut like opiates work for pain period.

My new doc said you’ll be fine and we will have a good doctor patient relationship as long as you don’t fail your drug test in office each month. So I’m fine with that. It holds me accountable

some people really do seem to operate better with them.. which is cool and i’m glad it works for them.
they gave me too many unwanted/unnecessary side effects that reduced any for of positive i may have gotten from them had i stayed on longer. i think the longest i took an ssri for was about a year. had to get off. my brain zapped for weeks after. still get them sometimes.

i love benzos.. i realllllly do. i’m not sure how i would’ve gotten through the better part of my life without them. i also know way too many people who have messed their lives up significantly, or completely destroyed/lost their lives because of benzos. usually the benzo/opioid combo. tolerance is a bitch. although i don’t want to come off diazepam, i also have an insane fear of not having them to reach for. kinda sucks when i think about it.

however, i do agree. they work extremely well.

Not going to lie. It gives me a very high sense of security knowing my bottle of klonopins are within arms reach of me at all times.
 
That doctor sounds like a Karen. Doing just a little bit too much.

I've dealt with the same things and share your frustration. You go in to the hospital for one thing or another, and all of a sudden the emergency doctor wants to start telling you how to live your life and take care of your health, without an adequate understanding of the full context.

Benzos are legitimately dangerous and really should be used as a last measure, but if you personally understand the risks, have tried other meds, and need benzos, thats your decision to make, not some busybody doctor.

Doctors use "legal requirements" as an excuse to couch a lot of their annoying behavior.

They'll say if they don't report something or do some certain things, they'll get sued or lose their license.

In a lot of cases, the problem is ultimately the fact that the government doesn't know how to run things and has ignorant laws, and so many doctors just go along with the requirements, regardless of potential health outcomes.
