I am a random quite often as well, a few months ago when I was in Melbourne, at the Drum and bass nights at Basement I think I had a quick chat with some people, then when my 2 friends who I was with wanted to go home ( basement was closing ) this group sorta grabbed me and took me off to the after party at the scubar, I was pilled off my head ( reasonably un-experienced ) and they were fucking fantastic, we were all going to go bowling then ended up looking for some where lese to drink, stupid revolver would only let the chicks in, none of the guys.
But well yeah it was great I ended up getting one of their phone numbers so I might give them a call next week ( I am moving to Melbourne on Monday )
well yeah thanks Dan, Josie, kath, kate, vaun, umm who ever else I have forgotten. But yeah thanks a heap, and if you guys remember me email me [email protected]
-edit oh yeah don't forget the Random Participation in Spliff Politics

randoms are apples,i think theyre a big part of what makes raving fun.even the unwelcome ones can be fun, they can be an exercise in social courtesy, you can realy test your stuff out.when you finally get rid of them the whole expierince can make great conversation with your non randoms to,plus you can steer them clear of 'em, which is always worth a cheers.my personal favourite are the ones with life philosophys up for offer, shit yeah bring 'em on.

One of the randoms that I met at Earthcore came into my work yesterday.
Actually a shit load of people that I knew came into my work yesterday???

I believe randoms are a huge part of what makes raves appealing. To beable to go somewhere and have 10000 "acquaintance" is just great.
If you ever go to a pub and catch an eye from some stranger you could be in serious trouble, but do it at a rave you always get a "Hello" and sometimes a life story

It's always great to be able to sit down while your mates are jumping around and have a chat to someone else who is also chilling while their mates are elsewhere.

I'm a bit of a random...maybe it's cause I don't have a clique...I'm not a DFCer or HDPer or god knows what you guys call yourselves
wink.gif

And it's true, randoms attract randoms...I get heaps of people (non blers) who talk to me out of the blue, usually cause they think I'm someone else...I had this one girl at Sunny EC who was convinced I was her friend until I told her my name...then she wasn't so sure

Shut up. If I wanted to listen to an arsehole, I would have farted.

I will be randoming my arse off at GC. I random all night, then go back to my mates at the end to chill.
------------------
"You want more??"

Well....you guys better lookout for me.... Yellow suburban shirt and hat.... i'll be sure to be randoming for the first "clean" half of GC.... hehe

Intel reports that there are two(2) types of randoms. One(1) type of random is is the "random". The second type of random is the "tagga". The "random is harmless, defined by a short conversation laugh and dispersion. The "tagga" is the random that lingers, like the smell of a dirty cigar or the strange nature of acid

. It is the second that is dangerous and should be avoided unless mitigating circumstances (read mashed).

I'm in a world of shit . . . yes. But
I am alive.
Come along and sing this song and join our family.
M-I-C-K-E-Y- M-O-U-S-E

After much discussion it has been decided that we must define between the random and the tagger. The random is exactly that, random and can be encountered up to three times in one evening. The tagger on the otherhand is one that you cannot rid yourself of. They hang like one with no friends and can sometimes be bearable, but otherwise one may have to resort to the look over there and run line.
Be good. And smile and may scatterday be full of wonderful adventures.......

Unfortunately, As much as I love meetingnew people... I will think twice the next time.
As Mona said to me.... these things can be an eye opener and not everyone is as friendly as us bluelighters.
IF ANYONE IN ADELAIDE SEE'S A BLONDE GIRL (KIRSTY) DRIVING A RED PEICE OF SHIT CAR WITH THE REGO ---> KIRST * O PLEASE FOLLOW HER HOME AND SEND ME HER ADDRESS. WE SHALL MAKE A ROAD TRIP TO ADELAIDE AND ASK FOR OUT OHONES BACK

the people that you're all calling 'randoms' are what makes raving so beautiful and special..
they are not simply to be shrugged away and chastised for not being part of a 'cliche', but should embraced for simply being there at a time when both minds can come together and share a single, perfect moment of communication and love..
why does everyone have so much against these simple and beautiful moments that arrise between strangers? can you not accept that there are people willing to share their love and feelings without having to place these fake facades of 'social acceptability' over the inner truth?
*hugs every random in the room*

Well my correlation co-efficient is deffinantly 0, ie I'm very random. Meet some great people simply by being random, however if I find people are negative I just leave them alone, it aint my job to make their night enjoyable.
I've even developed some good rave buddies that started off as randoms, now I see them time, and it's never premeditated, we just always bump into each other.

If acid makes you see things why don't we give it to blind people?

Computer games don't affect kids. If Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all run around a darkened room, munching pills. and listening to repetitive music...

I hate the random dudes that grab you by the shirt and make you K-walk all around the house...
