God.
God is a ball of gas that burns hot in the centre of it all, the mother and father that doesn't even know we exist. There are more important things out there than the universe's red-haired stepchildren. His real children are more than we know how to want to be.

His Children.
Density and gravity and light and illusion and reality and everything that makes up the canvas we paint ourselves upon and the soup which breathes us. Rocks which plunk into the deep black of space like pebbles into the cavepond. Quanta smaller than the most self-loathing depression that any man can know. Nebulae larger than any beauty. A dragon around a tree which swirls forever and dances into fire and the Godhead again and again and it never ends.

Life.
It's not houses and ego and clothing and this laughable arrogance in a lifetime shorter than anything we can conceive. It's in the way a butterfly dances around the flowering bud before both surrender themselves to the larger mysteries that lie beyond the Oortian cloud. It's what they do before the breath of the universe takes them back in. It's their total lack of pretension and their total understanding that they will never understand.

It really doesn't matter.

Sometimes we try too hard...

the end gets to me,,,, i think it does matter but that is in my eyes,,,, but agreenece we all try to hard at getting there in life we forget to enjoy the ride.

You always have a great way with words I enjoy reading your work!

Sorry it's taken me so long to answer, but my internet access has been a bit limited lately. The Oortian Cloud is a cloud of space matter outside our solar system which extends some 3 light years from the sun. Basically it's matter which is close enough to be drawn in by the sun's gravitational field, but not strong enough to have actually become part of the solar system. The idea of this massive cloud of debris spreading out for years gripped my imagination straight away.
