I thought I'd save the hasstlle of creating a new thread so I have a question.

Does anyone know if you can upload voice recording from my phone (Sony Ericsson K759i) onto my computer? I can upload pics but can't figure out how to do it with voice recordings. Also, if it works what website can I use to upload it to?

First of all, I think you mean the k750i???

I think you should have got a cable with it. And I think you can browse the phone through windows explorer and just drag and drop files from and to it.

Tell you what, my brother has one of those and he will definitely know, I'll ping him. :)

Aye, the k750i. It has a cable with it but I've only ever taken pictures off my phone. No idea how to take anything else but I'll check just now.

Also, can you put songs ON to your phone?

Cheers felix, you're a doll! You're brand new! Souuuuuuuuuund.

I'm trying to take over Second Opinion. %)

In fact we can handle anything here in NMI, you don't need to go anywhere else. :D

The phone can be connected to the PC using the cable & should have the option of "File Transfer" once the 2 connect. You should also have a CD as well, but I never install any software, just the drivers when prompted. I can connect mine like a USB flash drive now & access through My Computer or Window Explorer.
The PC kept prompting me to install drivers & it was as if I was installing the same thing over & over, but it was the actally inbuilt modem etc. I just kept pointing it towards the CD & it eventually installed properly.
Depending if you have a separate memory card, it will probably come up with 2 separate drives in My Computer.

if you have the adapter to plug the pro duo in, you can just put it in your comp like a memory stick.

yes, you can put songs onto your phone, just remember where you put them (there's a specific folder, don't remember which one). i have a 2GB pro duo (yes, our phone is upgradable to 2GB!) and it works fine. i've sent voice recordings to my email (gmail) and it worked fine.

it should work just the same with the cable plugged into the USB and phone. you should also have a sony ericsson file manager thing on your comp and you can manage your files with that. just make sure the check mark is green before you do anything.

do you understand the words that are comin out my mouf?

Thanks for the help guys it's greatly appreciated.

However I am having a bit of trouble. Obviously. Technology never just works for me.

Anyway, I plug the USB cable in and then what? I get a box that comes up and it has options that are:

'Play' - using windows media player
'Copy pictures to a folder on my computer'
'View a slideshow of the images'
'Print the pictures'
'Open folder to view files'

I've tried all of these and none of them are correct!

i always select "open files to view" that way you can select what you want and put them in a folder, otherwise when you copy them over, you have to name a file and all the photos get labeled with that file name.

when you select open folder to view files there should be 2 folders (DCIM and another one) double click one to view the contents. just keep opening the folders and your files should appear. if you haven't taken any pics, have no songs, no videos, etc. then the folders will be empty.

i'm not at home so i can't really experiment and write step by step instructions for you but that is what i remember. it's a bit easier for me since i can pop the pro duo into the adapter and plug it into my comp like a memory stick. if i have any trouble pulling up the files, i just select g:drive and my files appear.

^ Heh!

Yeah... this thread has lost its focus somewhat. I can't remember what it was all about either.

Welcome to the staff again, n00b. Now go and get me a beer, BITCH!!! :p :D
