That's the fucking worst, n even if you're lucky and don't actually get one you spend all day thinking you're gonna anyway.

Afternoon, all :)

Looking to be a fine day Chez Sham too. Just woke up to a drug-delivery fairy dropping off a coupla strips of OxyNorms. Woot! My tolerance must be lowlow cos only snorted 10mg and am nicely buzzing. IR ftw. He's got a load of OxyContins too but they're only 10mg ones and he wants the same money for 'em as the Norms so don't quite see the point. Also a few Fent patches (50ug/hour) available but would drop me like a sack o' shite with such low tolerance. May grab a couple for novelty value to save for a rainy day though. Fella reckons he has "a couple of boxes or so" of both IR and ER Oxy so maybe I could work up just enough of a habit to make an extremely cautious stab at the fent feasible... Probly not the wisest of plans though tbh.

What fucking planet are we on where it's a nice day in Scotland and hoying it down here in beautiful Humberside or wherever the fuck I currently am? Would kill for some Valium at the mo, monotonous as fuck now no one's here but me.

I also have no hangover, which is very surprising lol. Started early yesterday for the football with a few mates, pied going to clubs and just went on the pub crawl. Pints, sambucas, vodka. Pulled a couple of nice birds, danced to some decent rock tunes with one of them and her mum haha was ace crack. No drugs about sadly because of rockness, one guy but his stuffs shite and he wanted £60 a g lol got told swifty to boost. Got my mate to shake on creamfields aswell buzzing!!

Was even fresh enough to make the gym on a sunday! Could get used to dodging hangovers!

Pfft. Mothers/Fathers day is such bullshit. If I had nippers and one bought me a fuckin' Hallmark card just cos Hallmark decided I needed one on one particular day I'd punch the child repeatedly in the nads. Or maybe just put on an exaggerated show of gratitude and settle in to watch a Top Gear marathon drinking pissy manlager from the inevitible Best Dad in the World mug that accompianied the card.

If life has taught me one thing so far it is that showing constant appreciation for women get's you far more shit done for you, so it's well worth observing mothers day. Fathers day, not so much. I actually kind of appreciate that mothers day is something that existed before the advent of making it a commercialised crock of shit, and is really just about giving your mum 1 day off per year.

Exactly, I haven't had a fathers day present or card off my son.

He makes a mothers day card at school, so me missis gets one, but i just won't do it. It's fucking nonsense, i know he loves me every day anyway.

My mother would be distraught if I didn't send her a card, but she's a complete twat about stuff like that. I Haven't sent me dad a fathers day card for a few years ( cos I'm 42 and he's 60-odd), but my mother phoned me up last year telling me how upset my dad was not to have received a card...ffs, i told her if he was as upset as she claimed he probably needed some sort of medical help. She put the phone down.

Did it, Mr SB? I always thought Mother's Day was another Hallmark special. Can't be arsed looking it up though so will assume you have the wikipage to hand and take your word for it. Still think it's bollocks. Find the idea of pre-assumed mass-appreciation days (complete with pre-prepared mass-produced commercial sentiments) rather vomitous. And frankly insulting to all concerned.

Not really worth getting upset about though is it. Why fall out with your parents over a silly wee day, just send him a card if it'll make him and the old dear happy.

You lot had me thinking it was fathers day for a second there, I'm terrible with stuff like that and usually forget unless remembered. I can't even remember my mum or dads birthdays, there's something about dates that just don't stick in my memory. When I was a kid in primary school I could never remember when my own birthday was and it wasn't because we didn't celebrate it or I didn't get spoilt because I definitely did, just cannot remember dates. :\

It's not nice weather where I am, it's the same as it's been every day for the past week and a half, overcast, cloudy and threatening to rain.

I know that my dads is some point this month as a load of us are going away up the country for it and my mums is either this or next (it's definitely either June or July) but don't kow specific dates.

I dunno how true it is, but I heard the tradition arose from all the children who worked as servants got let home to see their mums once a year and on the way they collected flowers. I quite like the sentiment behind that tradition. I don't really like any of this valentines day/mothers day/fathers day stuff anymore, you should show appreciation for important people all year round. The idea that you need a day is just stooopid.

we didn't fall out over it, and he won't be getting a card.

He won't be upset.

My mother will claim he's upset.

She's not right in the head.

He's a 60 odd year old man, he likes a pint now and then, he's retired...he couldn't give a fuck whether his middle aged son sends him a shitty card with a watercolour print of a vintage motor car on it.
