It would take you all of 10 seconds... I did make sure to consult the correct sources before posting, as I was sure I was right. 'They' and 'He/She' can be used interchangably. You can hardly base your argument on me being too pedantic, when this whole thing is about pedantry int he first place.

Feeling saneer, went psychotic a month back after a long time without sleep crossed with a benzo cold turkey. Passed in a few days but they kept me here cause of my drug use, doing my nut in when i dont have a mental health problem just fucking agitation & anxiety now from the diaz wd's, nowt i can do though been clean a month and a half. Try move forward mate :) im off rehab when im out of here gonna be stuck in institutions for a year ad a half :/

Yes, they can be used interchangeably (might want to check your spelling when you're being pedantic ;)) but in some of the examples you've given & in your original post that started this "Boys Noize used to be really good, then they went to shit." it doesn't sound right. If that sentence was clearly about one person & not an ambiguous name like Boys Noize it would sound ridiculous. "Noel Gallagher used to be really good, then they went to shit." :? Who would ever talk like that?


Edit - Just to confirm, no sources were consulted before posting other than my own brain. I'm still right.

I knew I should keep an eye on my spelling given the topic lol... 'He' definitely sounds more right, I agree on that much. I went with 'they' because I wasn't 100% on whether there were more people to boyz noize than just the one guy i've seen, so I could cover both my bases. If I had written 'he' instead of 'they' and there were 2 of them I would have been just as fucked with the pedants, would I not? In retrospect a quick google search would have probably been quicker :|
 
The grammar was correct. As was your underlying motivation for picking up on it. I just thought i'd take the opportunity to reverse the pedanticness.

I thought it could just be a smaller species. It looks a bit too perfect to be a baby of that size though. Slow worms are quite small.
