My favourite part of Christian history is when about 100,000 Christian peasants died in a fight started by a shoe thief during one of the least successful Crusades.

Turn the other cheek my arse =D

O, and Jesus led that fight did he? At least I can say that such behaviour is against Christian teachings. You might also like the part when Mohammed married a 6 year old and consumated it when she was 9 and he was nearly 50? I can't believe God told him to drink camel urine to cure common ailments which is untrue, but didn't tell him not to have sex with pre-pubescent children. Doh.

Uh oh, I forsee Religious ramblings. Remember what happened last time, chaps?

Easy, tiger... I have an inkling he's winding you up and / or avoiding a Jesus Vs. Mohammed showdown that'll sour Gibberings and bore everybody with no interests in such matter to tears.

But since you seem to be keen on pointing out what you perceive to be the flaws of Islam, why not offer us your opinion on some of the shadier parts of your own religion's scriptures? Y'know, the bits that were conveniently rejected when it came to compiling the canon? Like for instance Jesus' early penchant for murder? :)

Actually, don't. Please.

Reference?! Having looked it up, you are talking about a book created in the 2nd or 3rd century created purely to satiate the hunger of early Christians for more bible to read... Whereas what i'm talking about comes striaght out of the Haddith and the Quaran...

Just to clarify where I stand, I'm a raised Catholic and have soaked up a lot of fun facts about Christianity in my time, but I've never really been that into it, even when I was a wee sapling.

I'm trying out Buddhism and meditation soon. Seems more my cup of tea. Live & let live.

@ Sam - Isn't Jesus' murdering streak pulled from discarded scripture? And therefore about as provable as the rest of it, if not significantly less 'provable' due to lack of multiple accounts of said murderings.

I love the progression, and when it kicks in later on in the track. Most of Grammatiks stuff is pretty good.

You might prefer this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRWPt4TnE7I

The drop is awesome.

If you're ever wondering if I'll like something or not one simple test is - Can it be described by saying "The drop is awesome."? If the answer is yes then chances are I won't like it.

That track started good lol.

Buddhism is alright. I don't really have a bad word to say about it from a philosophical point of view, and their followers aren't too bad either.

I'll listen to most things that aren't CUNTry. Most people i've shown that song to are like WTF to the first part, and then like it once it kicks in lol. I like the part where they mix in Method man and Redman. You give me a good song :D

Erm... like the Gospels, you mean? Which I hope you don't take as being erm, gospel, seeing as they contradict each other violently in many places. :)

And it wasn't a third century work - second century at the very latest. For those of you with any interest, look here. It's the Gospel of The Infancy of Jesus Christ, suppressed by the church for centuries, along with every other book that couldn't be edited to fit their agenda.

You mean to say you've not read much about early Christianity? ;)

I found myself at a party last Sunday morning/afternoon where this sqad of wee guys were insisting on playing Skrillex & were all amazed at me not absolutely loving the cunt, their minds were completely blown when I said I fucking hated him. They then proceeded to play me some Skrillex in an attempt to change my mind. Fucking chainsaw to the brain powerdrill through the eyeballs horrific tunes. Most current dubstep or dubstep-ish stuff can be described like that. It is truly awful. I can't bite my tongue when shite music is playing so I must have spent a good hour or so on a drug fueled rant about how pish their music was which only ended because I realised I was essentially hitting out with "Back in my day..." type patter lol.

I don't know anybody above the age of 14 who does like Skrillex.

He's famously hated. Like Bieber.

I like the Gramtik track. tons going on. definition of sound is great (& they've got a little bit of DoS the band going on for them too). classy. just listened to this which seems to be their version of a bond theme. overall, way too 'lounge bar trendy' band-wise for me to want to listen to them regularly, but they are decent.

they remind me of a mix between Definition of Sound, Portishead, Frontier Psychiatrist (<-- <3 that track) ... with a bit of Moondog's Bird's Lament (used by Mr Scruff)

[edit]
@ Albion: yes, I would. would probably be highly rewarding. not going down that road for a good few years yet though

Where do the gospels contradict each other violently? In the vast majority of important areas like Jesus' teachings they validate each other, which is the whole point.

I am not brilliantly well versed in the early spread of Christianity, although I know the basics, and I know it wasn't particularly pleasant.
