What happened to that tinychat thread?

Debating having a few drinks after the football, think I will.
 
Wow, tinychat killed the gibberings thread to the sound of video killed the radio star. Shame I can't use tinychat.

Really cold though, just got woken up by a fire alarm, I had fallen asleep after 1 can of fosters 8) in the middle of a film, actually right at the start of a film and the fire alarm woke me up about 10 minutes ago, just been standing outside for 10 minutes in shorts and a jumper and no socks because I haven't done my laundry in ages. Apparently it was set up by someone manuallly "by mistake", Cunts :|
 
Yeah I'm not sure about tinychat, can it not be integrated with our BL logins so there's some degree of trust that people are who they appear to be?
 
^no, never, never in a million years, they are not going to ever do that, why would they risk liabilily and shit like that by doing that. If bluelight had significantly more funds than they do to operate I reckon a similar service that could be linked to usernames but would still be on this actual website would be possible, but bl isn't. Anything said in tinchat can break any rules on the BLUA as it isn't the same place, so don't go filming yoursef doing illegal shit as tinychat actually can and will record any video streams that they like.

fuck that then I'll steer clear.

EDIT by the way I didn't realise it was a different provider who was running it, I quite understand why BL wouldn't want to tie up user names. But in that case I don't understand why anyone would want to use it! As demonstrated last night and tonight there is too much scope for people being fucked over! someone has pretended to be me two nights in a row, then pretended to be mailmonkey. Really not worth the hassle IMO. I enjoy the community here, but if I don't know who people are from one day to the next how can there be community?
 
there is an option for a chatroom modification to this forums software, albeit not a camera one, and it's been discussed before and poo pooed as it would take too much traffic away from people posting, which tinychat is doing, and there is no guarantee people are who they say they are, the same thing happened when we used that gibbly chat thing that attaches itself to any website and shoves a chatroom on it. think it was gibbly, or wibbly, or something sounding as stupid.

Why so paranoid? Just don't be incriminating yourself, don't write anything you wouldn't feel comfortable posting here. This forum is even more public. You don't need a webcam to use it either.

Not paranoid. As I say someone has been pretending to be me, and others. That's got nothing to do with me incriminating myself, but if people can go on and pretend to be me and say how I licked Spade's sweaty crevice then what use is that? If you find "me" there bragging about my sexual encounters with Spade, you can be assured it's not me as I'm not going to be on it!

In short, I don't want to spend a few minutes per person confirming that they are who they say they are.

I would only go on with web cam so if anyones chatting with my name and no cam its not me ok.

Only got webcam about a week ago, Its my new toy! :D
