Regarding the modding, there is a reason the majority of forums out there have moderators it's essential. Saying otherwise is not only ignorant to the staff and what they do but just plain naive.

The problems I'm seeing within this forum and the hostility are all due to events that have occurred over PMs or off-site. None of it ever really occurs on the forum, apart from people who just quickly jump to the bait of the more corrective / argumentative members, that honestly never change. I've done it myself, but I'm pretty sure everyone has and you just learn from that. Every forum has it's trolls. Another problem is many members aren't in on hostility between other members, so when they see someone like MOP have a wee rant about Rockstar they just think it's out of the blue and quickly begin trying to defend or jump on the bandwagon without knowing the story behind it. Too much correcting / hostility, not enough just general discussion. I hate how every post here I feel like it has to be 100% correct in order to avoid some random nit picking, as humans we get things wrong sometimes and people forget that far too easily. Although I understand it's a Harm Reduction forum so sometimes things cannot be wrong.

Sorry to include specific users, but hopefully it puts it in perspective a bit better.

I think EADD does okay, we do need the mods, but most of the regular posters know the rules and what is and isn't okay, and most of us are just as happy to take it as dish it out....

It's def a social forum though rather than an info forum, but I'd still look here firzst for any info I wanted, ust cos the rest of BL does my head in, fine website it is, and I have had to refer to other parts of it...but if I had a E related question for example, I ain't gonna go into ED and ask it, I'm coming here....also cos I know most people here only tend to make posts when they know what they're on about, and the ones that don't are easy enough to spot and filter out...

If I had a "roll trick" related question though, I'd go to ED, but I'd make a new account to avoid the merciless pisstaking I'd encounter here :D

Haha yeah ED is certainly pretty special. Drug-culture is a lot different in the UK to elsewhere (as I have learnt modding BDD) and I think this forum does a good job of balancing the social side and the drugs side. I've enjoyed venturing out and exploring the site but I understand people wanting to stay in here too!

Yeah BDD is fekin ace, I love all those threads you have to keep closing, how do they manage to keep you moding that lot, there has to be a pay off.

I've met a number of people from across the pond and elsewhere in BDD it definitely has a much bigger mix of nationalities which makes for some interesting discussion.

Don't be a stranger to TDS either if your feeling a little down, I've even got a bit of a mentor thing going over ther that I find really useful, haven't ventured much further than that though maybe the odd random lurk in the outer reaches
