Mornin EADD, I've noticed Kate hasn't been about I'm really hoping our ladish crudity hasn't caused offense, come back Kate we need the influence of a level headed women:D

I do anyway, I dread to think where I'd be without Mrs atm she's kept me going for 25 years, I'd get her a medal but it just wouldn't cover it, even a sparkley one with other shiny bits.

Blimey! Any kind of proper memory loss freaks me out really badly, which is why I stopped doing shots and caning random spirits on nights out. It's all very well when you kind of remember things or when your mates prompt you you can just about recall being in a certain place but it gets creepy when you're told you visited establishments of which you have no recollection whatsoever.

I know totally horrible, I have frequent memory loss when I drink. Massive chunks of the night can dissapear. It's scary to think what you might have done, usually it turns out nothing much but when the bits I can remember of that night were so fucked up, who knows what I can't remember?!? It's not worth it but once I'm drinking it's all or nothing, I never think enough is enough.

Haha, of course I wasn't offended, rather surprised at you though lol, really not used to you using that kind of patter atm :p

I got royally wrecked on lovely hash last night and could not be bothered with anything but lying around and rolling more =D was great!

And good morning eadd - it's pishing it down and blowing a gale here.
 
Twas a bit laddish for me, but I do like the shock factor on occasion and you only get that if its on the odd occasion so don't expect more in the near future:D

Ahhh hash my love ...wish I could have her back but she has to come with her nasty cousin tobacco for me which is a total no no, shame I used to kick through and oz or more a week and enjoyed every J.
 
I do have a tendency to think of you as a gentleman atm, but I suppose you are a bloke so fair enough to expect the odd crude ladish break out!

Toking makes me quiet and ott horny lol ;) expect less mod-visibility and a tired felix :D oops there's me at it now, you are a bad example 8(

My "m" key keeps sticking, really annoying grrrr..

I'm loathing to say this, but in all seriousness get a piece of kitchen roll and put a bit of olive oil on it wipe it right around the key several times, then tap that bugger really hard a good few times, usually does the trick


And anyway it was Sam's fault, he's a bad influence you know;)

feeling fresh, got the morning off to get super stoned, swapped an 8th of hash for an 8th of super stonking cheese so am tempted to crack the jar open and fill the flat with 'that' smell :D

Be thankful a naughty hotrock didnt land on it and melt itself a nice hole right through to the base of the keyboard, and this is a laptop too so no easy key replacing, just have to hammer the m key now, also managed to burn the 8 and . key,, this is works laptop too...ooopsie:p
 
Just got a text offering me a Fantazia ticket, I'm getting on a bit but tempted. I'd go just for old times sake, can't help but get a buzz when i see names like Joe Peng, Scotty, Randall & Jack frost. I think Joe Peng is one of my all time favourite MCs.

got a ltj bukem set from fantazia in 91 and its amazing, as its recorded through the booth on a mixer (lol) ya hear the ecto'ed crowd goin mad :D
 
Live sets are better when you can hear crowd noise.

I always wondered how this happened, maybe now's the chance to solve the mystery. I'd assume the recording is made just by a line-out from the mixer into whatever device you're using to record the set, aye? So how does the crowd noise get on there if there's no mics hooked up? Is it literally just picked up through the needles on the decks or what?
 
in the old days yeah it was a line out from the mixer into a tape device lol, used to always hear the mc over everything lol, when there aint an mc im not sure, maybe theres a mic set up for an mc that wasnt turned off, you know how sloppy these dj types are :P

Some laptop keyboards are real easy to replace others not so, have you checked there is normally a strip down and rebuild on the net somewhere for almost all laptops and a keyboard can usually be found on Flea bay for a tenner or so
 
^ ill have a browsenow, seems this one is a whole keyboard take out job though, duno if i can be fucked lol, tis works after all, ill get them to buy it ROFLCOPTR :p
 
I've heard old live sets with crowd noise when there should be no microphone hooked up at all.

How's it done now then? I know if I was playing I would just use the laptop to record a set if I wanted to but if you're playing off turntables then surely you still need to run an output from the mixer to a recording device of some sort?
