Mucho abuse directed at various members, a lot of silliness, spreading malicious and inaccurate gossip and threats to have one or two people beaten up or killed. My good self included.

Did I miss anything from that list?

She seemed to be going through a very bad patch and was lashing out at a lot of people in a melodramatic and far-fetched way. I really wouldn't excuse her behaviour but it did get a bit bear-baity in a way that it hopefully wouldn't have in real life. I suppose when a thread devolves into a ten post a minute shitstorm and the person at its centre won't calm down a bit of enforced time off is necessary.

I know - even if she'd managed to get in then there's a whole host of torture implements ready there at my disposal. :D

It's obvious that YPDH is going through a bad time, and this was taken into consideration at every stage. More than one of my fellow mods had been in touch on an informal level to ask what was wrong and offer advice and support, so it wasn't like the action was taken lightly.

I agree to an extent that there ended up being a lot of what could be construed as cruel baiting going on but it was definitely coming from YPDH's side too, and well before people got their kicks in. Which they did in reaction not only to her behaviour that evening, but through frustration at her general disposition over the last few weeks or so, and the effect it's had on the atmosphere around EADD.

There were several reasoned and polite pleas for calm from various members which just went unheeded, and eventually it just got out of control. Hence the temp. ban.

There was also the matter of some misinformation that had been fed to Yellow which served to fuel her anger, so in light of that I can maybe understand the depth of her antipathy toward BL. Can't say too much about it for various reasons, but Yellow seemed to be receiving encouragement to act out from some quarters, which is all the more sad given the fact she's evidently in a vulnerable place IRL just now.

Anyway, that's the story - YPDH was never a problem member until recently, so I hope that if she returns after her sabbatical it's as her old funny, charming, quirky self rather than the one whose behaviour has caused the recent problems.

Fuck! Yeah, must say I did notice a disturbing change in her behaviour & was also on the receiving end of some of her craziness.

I posted a funny .gif of Oprah in the Joke Thread & she thought I was taking the piss out of her pic in the "What u look like" thread! Then when I told her she was being paranoid she said she's gonna come round & beat me up or some shit!

Poor thing is in a bad place. Hope she's alright!
 
Well fek me if they didn't just go and offer me the job on the spot, I said I was lookin sharp=D

I'm so looking forward to handing in my notice at my place, they haven't give a pay rise in 4 years and suggested I was being over paid, this role is a quite a bit more money and has a good chance of bigger and better in the future as well as an a better all round package.

At last some feking success

You find CBT helpful? I'm currently in the process of fucking my life up (ie, lying in bed when I'm supposed to be at work :|). I was told by my work's Occ. Health caants that I should ask my GP to refer me for CBT but he point blank refused. He said even if he was going to refer me there's an 18 month waiting list so there wasn't any point, so.... see ya later. Helpful guy like :\

Well done atm on your new job. Bet its gonna feel so satisfying to hand yr notice in at your current job. Good to hear that there are folk able to get jobs at the mo.
 
Shit, wet and grey is par for the course here in Manchester. What we've had today, though, is shit and grey followed by glorious sunshine, followed by horizontal sleet.

Change of season? I reckon.
