^ hello Glitched - hey Pasty. Greetings to my fellow Sou'wester.

Has any one got invloved in this PPI reclaim thing for loans & mortgages?

I know someone who got a lot for an old mortgage, and a kid whos waiting on cheques for 4 loans. They both said it was just a case of sending off a form, really easy. I did this a few years ago for £1800 bank charges and it was a piece of piss.

I don't want to miss a trick here, I was paying it on a mortgage for 2002-2007, I did ring them twice to cancel it but knowing what a lazy cunt I am they told me I had to put it in writing, and I duly never got round to it. So I do feel owed.

Defiantly follow it up badandwicked, sounds like you could get a lot of cash back. Let us know how it goes, good luck.

A mate of mine got £2,300 just before Christmas because of this PPI stuff, nice little bonus before e most expensive time of the year! Well worth doing guys.

Check out the MoneySaving PPI guide. however much of a tit Lewis appears, he's got a consumer heart and always provides the necessary resources to help out.

tons of useful help on their forums for the above too

If you're gonna do it, you need to get a wriggle on and do it ASAP tho. think there's a 6 year cut off but I'm not sure as Ive never needed to claim. I missed out on some of my bank charges for a reclaim on an old joint account I had with an ex.

good luck, and let us know how yer get on <3

Hello lovelies, just picked up my prescription meds, so I'm feeling rather lovely! Hoping it's gonna get me though yet another nasty opiate wd, when will I learn that I can't just dabble with opiates?? I just keep having to do nasty clucks raw, I've only been doing two bags a day for the last two weeks, but I still wake up sick! Anyone used pregabalin for opiate withdrawal before? It's meant to work quite well so I'm gonna give that a bash over the next few days, I'm sick of this lifestyle! It's so hard to stop taking something when it makes you so happy when you've got!

I've been through that Acidtek, when you really don't want to keep taking things mentally but for some reason you end up getting and using anyway. Just stay strong mate and the urges so fade away over time. How I did it eventually was by telling myself that the days of WDing after taking some is far worse than the benefits of the high.... Does that make sense?

Hope it's not too bad for you mate.

Just remembered a particularly shameful thing about the weekend. A group of us were trying to be as offensive and bigoted as possible (don't ask why), so we were referring to women we saw in the bar we drank in as 'top cunt' and 'primo gash', their boyfriends as 'faggots' amongst other puerile terms of abuse. Not big or clever, but we were more or less keeping it to our own little circle, so no real harm done.

This carried on way into the night (despite the fact only two of us found it funny) and somewhere in the mists of drink and drug abuse I must have decided it was a good idea to get out a pen and paper. Which is where it got even worse.

The next morning, in my own fair hand, I find a sheet of A5 headed "Things I hate about poofters", followed by a list that takes in a good number of well-worn cliches before alighting at "their aesthetic numbness" (eh?) and finishing off with the admission that I quite like Judy Garland though.

Whoever said drugs heighten one's creativity isn't telling the full truth.

Awesome.... You have to post what was written on that piece of paper for us all to read and laugh at!

You're a weirdo mate. :D

This English guy I met refers to gay guys as being "light on the loafers" which I thought was amusing. Had never heard that expression before.

SAm your nights out are strange .

I really find it hard to believe that you get home in one piece.
I was under the impession that their was a good scene up in Manchester & plenty of decent gigs / concerts by a wide genre of BAnds .

A bit like most of the larger cities in the U.K
Shirley if i were to check the listings for Manc land i could find some really good stuff i mean RZA saw Jedi Mind Tricks on a weds. night.
I live in a small city with strict licensing laws so if we wanna go out proper it has to be Bristol.

Saying that we do have Moles a intimate club that has been going for decades & has hosted some of the Great & Good of the U.K Indie scene.
I think you would really like it over the years they have hosted
The Cure. THE CURE!
Blur, Beverly Knight, Catatonia, Courtney Pine, The Cure, Damian Rice, The Damned, Editors, Elastica, Eurythmics, Everything But The Girl, Gabrielle, Housemartins, James, Manic Street Preachers, Massive Attack, Moloko, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, PJ Harvey, Primal Scream, Pulp, Radiohead, Rob da Bank, Shed 7, Skunk Anansie, The Smiths, Snow Patrol, Spiritualized, Stereolab, Suede, Supergrass, Sway, Terry Hall, The Coral, The Killers, Tori Amos Toyah Wilcox
Thats just a few they had on their wb page some are shite granted !

Upstairs they have a collage of all the bands that have played their n it's a pretty spectacular whos who.
The best bit is that almost all the time they get these acts before they have become mainstream n crap.
my night was Desmond Dekker

I worked the Cloak room their for a while which was a ace job cos u didn't have to do owt apart from at the start n end of the night so i'd get to see the whole night .
Not much in the way of pay £15 and a pint when you got their n some more t the end of the night depending on the mood n how well things went .

Good times though for a teenager.

That's not a bad lineup for a small club in Bath. Not at all. Desmond Dekker too? Proper legend.

There's a pretty good scene in Manchester, yeah. I end up having to see a lot of bands that my mate records, so I witness quite a bit of the unsigned / underground stuff.

How I make it home in one piece is something nobody understands. I think that looking genuinely weird helps - I could dress in M&S menswear and Hush Puppies and I'd still look freaky as fuck.

As i said thats jus whatthey had on their web page theirs been loads of others.

If you google Moles you'll find it has got a bit of a cult following . It's got that intimate vibe that you can't just create .
It has to earn it if you get me n they have been going since 1978 without ever selling out and keeping it simple .

You go their to see the band / act end of .
Theirs little else to it and that simple aproach works n will continue to if you dig good music.

It's got nothing to do with that " I went to "insert super club here" more i saw "insert good band here"

Yeah, I get what you mean. Manchester's pretty lacking in that - good places come and go, but suddenly as soon as there's hype it's ruined. The Hacienda being a pretty famous example, but there's loads of others. Unfortunately there's a lot of hype in Manchester - probably because we get all the journos who've failed to make it in London.

the brother of my main ex from a few years back went to uni in bath. think that's where he said he saw Julian Cope [moles or whatever].
he was carrying his well thumbed n dogeared copy of head on/repossesed and Julian grabbed it out of his mitts and proudly held it up to the crowd and announced how impressed he was it was falling to pieces n well read

I heart copey lots. loved his modern antiquarian TV show of the book he did

I also admire JC.
Do you remember those adds ?
Re Bath Uni.
It had a really good NUS club that would put on allsorts of good stuff one of my 1st concerts was their it was The Mock Turtles .
AS well as that it was /is one of the best uni's in the country with excellent sports facilities many of the Top Athletes use them.

It's a shame that we now have another uni sorta place called Bath Spa University it used to be a training college but is know a huge campus just outside the city & i'm not fond of it the city is to small for two Universitys.

Evening all, hows EADD tonight? I'm rather stoned as it goes, been caining my way through a lot of pollen and charas
