Yeah, they probably handled it wrong to be in that position, but if I saw someone lunge at my mate with a metal thing I would have done the same if I had a gun.
 
Before I clicked on that link I thought it was a UK story. Then I realised it was in America, and the shock disappeared completely. Nothing they do shocks me. If a cop shot a little girl for waving a daisy menacingly at him I wouldn't be surprised.
 
You would think that if the tazer didn't work first time they could have tried one again or even used their pepper spray as that normally drops people pretty sharpish.
So glad our normal cops on the beat don't carry guns.

I have a bit of this to play with, tried it orally working up to 50mg with no effects, i was wondering if you could haard a guess at IV bioavailability compared to oral, what dose to start at or any other advice or risks that stand out to you. I know its a long shot but from lurking you seem very chemical savvy and it cant hurt to ask :)

Sorry, not a clue as it's structure is unlike any mu agonists I can think of. Could be it's another loperamide ie potent agonist but unable to get through the BBB or is subject to inactivation in the gut before even reaching the brain (like oral DMT). I'll have an investigate after I've stuffed myself with prawn madras (god I've missed Indian takeaways while in hospital!)

How cold it is here remains to be seen, but it is depressingly early. A second cup of tea is already on the go and it still won't be enough.
