Random MSN Gibberings LXXV: This subforum can be so entertaining (allegedly)

Yeah Bandulu ring a bell though couldn't say where i saw them .

At a festival i forget if it was Glastonbury or Pheonix , we saw Orbitall 4 times in the w/e they did a show in the main stage one in the dance tent n two in a fukin thing i don't know how to describe it kinda like a tent i spose .

Being a Gl;asto vet i started going when you could bet in free if you were a traveller n my mates parents had a converted ambulance that had Ambience written in the place .
Well many folk go to Glasto without even kknowing what the fuk is really going down like in 92 when Spirall Tribe were doing some mad parties not even Michael Eavis knew the really good stuff that was going down on his farm .

I have never paid n will never pay to go that feastival i last went in 1999 i think it was muddy n the nme stage sank .

I have been offered a ticket for the next one from a good mate he said i don't have to pay i'm considering it for old times sake , we used to go together as part of a little crew 20 or so yeatrs back .
So i may go n i will pay as i don't feeel comfortable with folk seeing me as a charity case even if they don't mean it .

That's fair enough on the ticket front. I'd have loved to have seen Orbital back in the day- I caught them three years ago or something and it was a bit depressing really, they just seemed to be going through the motions, was all very staged and unspontaneous and a bit naff actually. I imagine that the first time they dropped Heaven is A Place on Earth or the Doctor Who theme it was incredible and groundbreaking but when you know it's coming it's a bit of a damp squib.

If I ever buy gig tickets to something I reckon will be good and can afford it I'll get two extra I can sell nearer the time and cover the cost of my ticket with. This has always worked out for me except at this show - Touts were buying at £3 (£15 cover price plus 'booking fee') ten minutes before it started and I've still got two unripped tickets somewhere :(

afternoon all. i am probably more pleased than i should be about how ridiculously cheaply i just purchased some mdma for. now i just need it to be saturday so i can take it!

i really should be working, so i can not get stressed about the fact the beginning of next week will be a total write off work wise. can't remember the last time i looked forward to something as much as i'm looking forward to this saturday. fucking need it tbh.

hellooooo =D

just found an old cd i used to blast in my car when i was 18, slapped so many random wicked tunes on there, nostalgic

No I'm not, they on youtube? I might have a dig.

I'm currently listening to the album which samples the tune above, it's not bad, quite 90s but there are some great moments on it. It's sort of hip hop in the way that a lot of that 90s stuff was, ie not the realest or most banging but big on weed smoke and jazzy samples.

Hope the meetings go well!

What album you on about? I can't place the sample at all. The fact that the lyrics mention "Tragic magic" has got a completely different tune stuck in my head & I can't shake it.

Birthday party the mora night, booked out some pish bar in Glasgow, got some techno & house mixes for later on but had to make up "non-dance" iTunes playlists for earlier in the night. This is my effort, bear in mind a lot of this is either requests or on there to appease the "general public", can't really get away with belting out 2 hours of Big L freestyles.

Click it to see it properly.

Only change has been Marilyn Manson - The Nobodies has been switched for Disposable Teens.

Think it's decent enough without being too cheesy or too not "happy party music"?

Looks like there's enough variation in there to please most folk for a while

Evening everyone, thank god its Friday tomorrow so I can get 2 precious days off work, like my job but like my weekends better:D

Aye, it should do the job. I really wanted to just put hunners of hip hop or the entire Blues Brothers soundtrack on it but I had to calm myself. One of the girls has made one as well, I dread to think what's on that lol, once the party's going proper I'm just gonna belt some techno on though.
