Yeah i'm all set, got pretty much all new stuff , thanx 2 a CCG . Just sorting my clothes , this will be funny as i keep some weird stuff for nostalgia , i think i'll end up with plenty for the charity shop mind .

I'm only going for a week , always go away around Xmas as its hard time cos theirs so many people missing , its just me n my Mum family in this country .

Oh yeah so we are going together , always do since my Dad n Grandad died within 3 months .
It takes us away from all that n is a nice chill.

Sounds great Brimz, I try but I find Xmas hard, I'm not good with family and lots of people squeezed into one house and me not being able to leave when I want. This year will be double hard as I'm off the bottle.

Still its great to see my kids enjoying themselves and I can keep myself busy running people about in the car.

Have a great time mate good to see you looking after your mum, just the way a son should IMO

^I hear you on Christmas atm. I've sort of figured out that Christmas isn't for grown ups, and as I don't have any kids it all seems quite pointless. At the moment it just seems like a pretty big speed bump in the year, and it makes little sense to me to have our one unified holiday as a country slap bang in the middle of winter. Jesus' real birthday is actually in September (if I remember rightly), and that seems a much better time to all have a week off :D

Christmas is enough, but Christmas off the bottle is unthinkable. Fair play to you for even contemplating it.

I spend Christmas alone so it's a pretty forlorn occasion, though the peace and quiet is lovely. Managed to get last year's out of the way with an oxy, booze and benzo binge. This year's will hopefully be similar.

Ohh I have a full on workshop in the garage with lots of man tools, how do you think I keep that old scooter running, unfortunately I will be at my parents for Xmas and will juts have to make the best of it, I can manage one day for Mrs atm and the kids, I'll just make myself useful and keep busy, my mum is waiting for a hip replacement and I'm a dab hand in the kitchen so I'll just try and keep busy.

Don't bin stuff, we have a set of rules:-

1.) can I Ebay it ? - people will by all sorts of rubbish

2.) can I give it away to a friend

3.) can I use the local free cycle scheme to give it away

4.) can I give it to charity

5.) in the car and up the tip, or the bin if its small, I hate waste

Just been to visit the most adorable 9 week old kittens that I'm hopefully going to be able to adopt. The owner is meeting potential owners tonight and tomorrow, and is going to let me know. She already said, that she's quite warmed to me just from the few e-mails we've exchanged. Fingers crossed! Having two kittens to look after could be just what I need to keep me grounded. My life is on a positive at the moment, sorted script, feeling healthy, getting there.

I fucking hate how soon it starts though. Restaurants taking Christmas bookings in October?!

Stopped my week long abstinence today with a nice brew of poppy yea and a few diazepam.
Although I got slaughtered last night so it's more of a 6 day abstinence.
But alcohol isn't a drug, it's a drink.*

love xmas myself spadey.i know there is lot of bullshit around it but i try to avoid that and have a good time with family and friends.

i never get drunk christmas eve or day myself.go a bit mad just before that and then stephens day ( 26th ) for a few more days.

my son will be 18months around xmas so it should be a nice time.

He and his mates are even overexcited today cos tomorrow is Advent Calendar Day One!!! He's struggling to get offto sleep he's so excited about it.

I am looking forward to Christmas with children. I love how they have no concept of time. When I was little I used to start getting excited about my birthday at Christmas, and my birthday's in March. By the time it finally got to my birthday I had given up on it ever coming.

Fuck me what a condition I'm in tonight, don't even remember getting home. Absolutely leathered in the pub yesterday had about 10 pints in me by 5pm. Ended up back at mates, too much red wine, then a bottle of vodka this morning. Sniffed a nice selection of drugs too. Mixed up a pile of meph with a line of MXE which didn't really pan out well for anyone who sniffed a line, mate went to college still walking like an octopuss.

Bitter hangover/comedown today.
