Pfft, had to skip past a power of that because I don't really have the time/motivation to read it all.

I will however wade in with my own views though haha.

First off - Catholic Church. I saw some mention of that. I'd like to think (hope) that even the psycho Christians on here don't believe that the Catholic Church is a good thing. It is corruption & evil incarnate. If there really is a heaven & hell, a god & a devil, then the devil is in charge of that bitch & he's laughing his arse off. You'd have to be a total mentalist to defend it, yet, once again, many intelligent people do. What the fuck is wrong with cunts? Seriously!

Edit - Fucking Bluelight just fucked me. I'd written a second point an all but it fucked up. Maybe it was the work of god ;)

All I'll say is that there isn't really any point in me trying to explain to a Christian, who isn't a braindead moron, that they are wrong. You're all clever enough to work it out for yourself. Why you can't is beyond me.

Aha! I've just remembered what my second point was. Someone compared being Christian to being gay. At least I think I skim-read that. Seriously? I hope I actually just made that up. You think you (or someone else) had no choice in your faith whatsoever, it just happened? Bullshit. Again, I don't think I need to explain myself anymore, folk are either going to understand completely what I mean or their mad brain is going to block out reality regardless of what I write.

One last edit - For the record I don't believe in any of that shit at all. I believe that we're just animals living on this planet & when we die we die we're dead & we're gone. No after-life, no big cloud in the sky, no re-incarnation, none of that spooky nonsense. We're gone. However, I do not have a problem with people believing that there is maybe something more, some higher power (as long as they don't think it's actually a sentient being with a big beard) or whatever. I do have a problem with people believing in what is so clearly the work of man, of fiction, as if it is the "word of god" or whatever when it so CLEARLY IS NOT!

Do other religions have a pope-equivalent? I really want to keep saying FUCK THE POPE, but I don't want people to think I'm singling out Catholics for my hatred. If Protestants had a Pope figure (not the Queen :|) I'd say fuck him/her too. Although I'm pretty sure the pope is the most evil of all religious leaders.

Is one of Buddha's shouts not something along the lines of "Believe nothing, not even my own words, unless it fits with your own beliefs". I've totally murdered that quote but anyone that knows it will know what I mean, hopefully someone can put the proper one up. I can't be arsed asking Google. I like that, none of this "I'm right. This is the way it is. Believe in me or burn in hell" type shit.

The thing is, they would never, ever become pope if they didn't hold those views. Those views & the church that the pope represents are intrinsically linked.

Edit - Not that I'm saying all Catholics think like this or believe that. I'm sure lots don't. They're pretty shite Catholics though lol

My mate was talking to this massive poofter (I say that in the nicest possible way, I mean no harm. The guy was tall as fuck & incredibly gay) at a party & for some reason the pope came up in conversation. My mate uttered the phrase that must be said whenever the name is heard... FUCKTHEPOPE. & the big guy got raging. Proper offended. So my mate's said to him "Why are you bothered at that? Are you a Catholic? Do you got to church & that?" ... "Yes, I am in fact"... "Aye well you're no a very good one are you!!!" Hahaha.
 
the pope should be banned from entering the uk as a fully paid for state visit, fuck the vatican being a state. if a religious leader wants to visit it should be paid for by either him or his fan club.

I compared believing in God to being gay. I for one can't shake my belief in God, do you not think my life would be easier in some ways if I did not? If you could never see yourself believing, were you born that way or is it a choice? Could you force yourself to believe? I didn't think so... So why couldn't someone be on the other side of the coin to you? It follows for me that if I have a strong belief in God, that I should act on it by choosing one of the religions available. The main point really was that you expect them not to judge people simply for who they are when you are doing just that yourself. But hey, you aren't as bad as those nasty Christians because after all you don't care if people believe, just if they act on it. Sounds sort of like what a lot of Christians say to gays - Sure you're gay, but why do you have to bum men because of that?

You must also realise that because you state something it doesn't instantly become fact; For instance you expect people to go along with your view that the bible is untrue, when you have provided no justification for them to agree with you but your own word.

Maybe I should cap this post off with an ad hominem PTCH style? - Either people will just get this or they are stupid retarded morinic pyscho cunts ;)
