firstly- most companies that operate (inter)nationally need representatives/offices in the majority of places they do business. if thats the north, then they'll hire them.

secondly, the people in the north have the nous not to pay to practically fucking breathe. £120 quid a week for a shared bedroom in london uni halls? southerners are getting ripped off and should wake up to it, northerners are not being overpaid. my boyf and i get to the end of each month with barely any money left, living in the north, in the south we'd be in complete poverty. ok, we smoke too much weed but other than that we live quite abstemious lifestyles.

as for 'being competitive in an international environment.' what a fucking shite argument for making it worth people actually working, don't people deserve to be able to make ends meet at the end of each month? (my boyf and i get way over minimum wage so i honestly don't see how ppl on it manage). what you're basically saying is that 'all the companies who treat people like cattle and don't want to give their workers any rights have stopped employing people in this country.' good riddance to them. if you think there are no unskilled jobs left in this country then get into loads of debt doing a degree and find out whats on offer to you at the end. its a complete farce.

really sorry to hear that. thats disgusting. is there any way to appeal? surely if they're going against the medical advice then you have the right to complain/appeal somehow? and i learned from that article that a lot of the appeals win....
 
only 40 mins till i gets tha fuck outta here, cant wait to get home and smoke a bong, needed one all day even though i started my morning with bout 6..tut tut and to think i gave wibble a lecture bout schoolnight drinking.. :\
 
Just cooked up a mega size healthy meal. Out for some food, few pints and a catch up with a few mates later so Thursday is not such a bad day after all!

Pied off drugs for this weekend. Was debating a bit of a pick and mix RC order earlier, luckily just before I ordered my source for the bolivian marching powder chimed in... I'll be hitting the Jagerbomb's all weekend and wait til he's back with some nice chizzle next weekend :)
 
Head is fucking banging today after work, what a long, horrible day. I don't even want to go back tomorrow even though it's Friday. Fucking pish. :!

I think a healthy dislike of your workplace is a good thing, for most people its a means to an end. mines not all bad but mostly its shite...it is consitent with the rest of my life which is stragely comforting;)

Your argument doesn't factor in the fact that with the national minimum wage prices have escalated... things would be cheaper for us, given that it is a service based economy. I know southerners are getting ripped off, but that's what happens when there is more demand than supply for housing! I know international companies need offices here, but they don't need to produce products here - which are the jobs low skilled workers need. They just need to set up offices here to conduct business, and they'll go to London or the surrounding area because that is where the skilled workers live, and where all the other businesses are. You can see this in the fact that London makes more than the rest of the country combined.

I have done a degree and got into loads of debt, and in the North there is nothing. My friends who have gone back down south are all on 25k minimum.

longish shot but I went to visit my cousin yesterday in manchester and he lives in some flats above a chippy called the battered cod, next to a hall of residence and a sainsburys?
 
Well he lives just down the road from me then! About ten minutes walk away. There are three Battered Cod branches but that's the nicest one, and the one I was tripping in.

You could've stopped by for a brew you bastard...

Ahh its good to be back Sam, i hadnt realised how much I relied on this little corner of the tinternet.

I am still on the wagon, have had a few blues here and there to take the edge off as have stopped all ADs but I've been suprsingly good of late despite a fair bit of shit going down. Still not convinced I was built for this level of abstinance btu time will tell.

Had a crazy night last night, went camping with loads of booze pills mxe and weed, got so fucked, stayed out under the stars and had a massive camp fire, I coulda see loads of different faces in the fire and named all the logs for some strange reason! Would have been better with hammocks because it's so much more comfortable! We were thinking while we were all fucked that we should take a generator and the xbox, that would have been so good! Or a video camera! Oh well just rambling now, must be the lack of sleep and all the droogz
 
i guess this belongs in the gibberings thread..but .. does anyone know the best method to smoke nepalese 1st cream hash, this stuff is goo..i have to keep it in the fridge otherwise it leaks all over the place, its the strongest hash ive ever seen/smelt/smoked/played with lol, and now i got yellow resin tipped fingers,must make a note to scrape the keyboard when im desperate :P

But seriously what ya reckons the best method for smoking it, using a bong, i was using a screen but i dont think its getting evenly burned so i mixed it with baccy and thats fine for me, i dont mind a mixed bong but my gf cant deal with baccy in a bong so other then vaped bud, which ruins the taste of this hash what could i bulk it up with to make it more combustible? answers on a postcard please :)

Hot knives? Maybe you could let it melt and then wipe it on the inside of a rizla using a cocktail stick, then roll it up and down to get an even coat like you would with hash oil. Be honest, you just wanted to show off about your ncie hash didn't you.

LOL nah man i honestly was just looking for advice, maybe subconsciously but :P yeah its literally like thick hash oil, its abit of a nightmare to smoke though :\
