It's a bit of a shitter, drink-dependency treatment. I've seen people end up with even less help than other drug addicts receive (which in some cases is minimal - though hopefully that's an exception rather than a rule).

With any luck at least one of the options you have open will be able to offer something. Everyone's case is different but it took quite a few health scares and stupid episodes to even make me admit I wasn't in control. At least you're there already.

And before anyone asks, I'm not going turn all Joseph Smith on you all and preach against the evils of drinking the way only a recovering drunk can. Though I could deal with the polygamy and ten percent of your income parts...

Yea it is.. It's harder that I'm constantly surrounded by it so it's always there as a crutch.
Thankfully my tummy started going "Oi! Have this!" and give me some nice pain as a way of notifying me things weren't going well. Good ol' stomach pain =D

I'll get through it somehow. Hopefully without the aid of anything...

p.s. Aww, I was looking forward to a high-and-mighty speech Sammy =D I'd give you my part of my polygamic lifestyle but you can get t'fuck if you think yer gunna be my pimp ;) Hehe.

How do people go about finding out about secret parties? Everyone seems to answer "keep your ear to the ground" which doesn't really prove very helpful..
 
Pirate radio stations are sometimes a good place to find out :)
Other than that it's knowing the people involved and around the "scene" ;)
 
I've got an ever growing hatred for these "scenes". There seems to be hundreds of them for various things, none of which i'm a part of.
I'll get scouting radio stations then, "keep my ears to the ground" and all that.

I don't really like to attach myself to any "scene" as such - I just like what I like and do my own thing :) Much more enjoyable that way.
