Don't have any other shops that sell 'em here, Cherry. Arse end of nowhere. Could have a scoutabout online but you really need to try them on to try to avoid looking a total nobber. Most seem to look so good on the shelf and so bad on me face so a bit of care is required. Alternatively, I could crack out the superglue and get me Mr Fixit hat on, perhaps.

Shammy you're a thieving cunt. :p

EDIT: typo fixed!

That's how the world works mate, you have to give shops money in order to get the goods. Tenner is hardly much for a pair of sunglasses anyway. Imagine we all went out and stole from the shops. The country would be fucked.

imagine if everyone stopped, all the jobs lost in insurance/security

The world would stop turning, I'm sure. It's profiteering cos there's no other place to buy them here. They cost about a quid anywhere else - barely more than novelties. But thieving is thieving it's true. And I'm too old and too nervy to go thieving these days. Hence not thieving these last coupla years and going without sunglasses.

EDIT: And what Evad said - a bit of minor thievery is just a jobs stimulus in the current economic climate. Thieves deserve a payrise for keeping the country afloat :D

I've no cash either but I fancy some booze, shall I go nick some from the shops?

You live in a house, that has leccy and gas and council tax, internet, tv licence, etc paid for you. Mine is being cut off soon, until I get off my arse and arrange meters to be put in.

When you get desperate for essentials, like food, sometimes it's the only way. Though, how my ex MTGG managed to steal a full PC tower, champagne, expensive steak when living in a squat, I'll never know. He was a genius.

Not that i'm ever admitting that i've shoplifted...

Big companies have plenty of loss prevention insurance in place, infact they EXPECT shoplifting, and allow for it.

Me living in a house with electricity, gas etc has nothing to do with my decision not to steal. I don't think either of you are so hard up that you need to resort to it either, you choose to you're not forced to.

Just because the shops allow for it doesn't mean it's right.

It has a lot. It means you don't think about the extras that are involved in living alone, as you don't pay for the bills.

Pay my bills for me then =D

140 gas and leccy. That's more than a two week dole, they want it all in one go or I get cut off and have to pay for the privilege, what do I do for food the rest of the two weeks once i've paid that eh? Oh, and my water, too, that's due soon.

Until you've lived it don't preach it.

I've lived alone (well with friends) and had to pay the bills, gas, leccy, food etc. I was always pretty skint but I didn't resort to stealing.

Use the extra £120 a month left from the dole to buy food?

All this is irelevant anyway, just because you're skint doesn't give you the right to steal.

Bills are easy when split with mates. :)

What other 120? I think you've got your sums wrong son.

I live by the fortnight, i'm not able to save. Too many outgoings. Dole is paid fortnightly remember.

Anyway, enough of this. I don't steal by the way, I just eat less, and have my best mate and boyfriend help me out with the odd tenner when they can when im desperate.

Bills are higher when you live with mates because there's more of you to use leccy, gas etc. Probably works out about the same.

Fortnightly pay or not it works out about £260 a month from the dole. Are you saying you have £140 to pay towards gas and leccy every fortnght?
