Random MSN Gibberings LVI - Until You've Lived It Like, Divn't Preach It

Yeah because he was only going there on a tourist visa and they're classing him DJing there as work which isn't allowed.

That is well harsh, was he even getting payed for the gig? I presume he was but still!

That's pretty standard (rightly or wrongly). Certainly happens here - one of my favourite New Zealand bands recorded an album with session musicians because half of them weren't allowed in - even recording an album counts as work.

Mugabe, I'm late to this, but I hope things work out for you. It'll get easier with time man, I promise you :).

Even the Rolling Stones in the early '70s had to record incognito in crappy, dodgy studios in the US for the same reasons.

It's scary that they're following visitors to the country on Twitter etc to try and catch them out though eh? Hadn't even considered that before.

nice to know I'm not the only gullible person on BL.

Spadey I find it highly dubious that they would follow peoples social networking profiles let alone EVERY single visitor who enters the country on holiday.

just think about the resources that would take? All that time money and man power to kick some guy out for DJ'ing. C'mon dude. If he did get kicked out because he put this information on twitter don't you think i'd be more likely someone grassed him up?

Governments spying on visitors social networking sites PFFFTTT. THATS paranoia talk spadey.

Just watching the football and it's shit! Don't get me wrong there are moments of pure brilliance, but most of the time it's just shit!

not yet got a tv in my new room, so listening to the football on the radio, only joined in at half time and it sounds alright so far. Haven't listened to sport on the radio for years, is weird, but still entertaining :)

In my state it would probably be better on the radio, my mind could make up the pictures!

Serious, serious headfuck. Girlfriend comes out and tells me last night she's 3 weeks late for her period. So I go round today, she takes the test. Pregnant. I try to make her feel better etc, then leave so she can talk to her mum.

I get home just now, and she's on msn talking to me asif it doesn't matter and nothings happened. All fine and dandy, got doctors booked for tomorrow to get rid of it allready. Well, to see how/when. I tried explaining at hers that I know it's the right thing to do, and the best thing for her and would support her, but she had ago at me for it. And now, she's acting like it's all fine. I can't just act fine within an hour or so of knowing :(.

You never seen the Aussie border control show, those folk go to great lengths to stop people coming in. They'll look through your camera and if they find any photos of you that looks like you might be on drugs they'll arrest you.

Someone grassing on him is possible but the only people following his twitter feed are friends, most of them from outside of Australia. There's no reason for any of them to do it. I'm not buying that any of his friends from Aus thought about calling the authorities on him because he mentioned he was going to be DJing, it isn't 'work' it's just a hobby of his, he said he didn't even get paid for it. Why would anyone care anyway and how would some random seeing a post on twitter about a bloke DJing in Aus know that he wasn't supposed to be DJing, was a tourist etc and go to the effort of grassing him. It's all a bit suspect.

And I'm sure Government probably do spy on social networking sites in some instances, employers are doing it all the time now. I know a few people (family and friends) who have been given warnings and even suspensions because of things they've said about their work / employers on FB. People post a lot of things they shouldn't on FB so it's not completely unbelievable that the Gov would want to monitor it.

She may be acting like she is fine, but it may just be that "acting" she is probably not fine inside and is probably trying to put on a brave face.

Big headfuck indeed though.

No, it's not. She can fuck off, let her fucking deal with it on her fucking own. When i've offered her all the fucking support in the fucking world. And when I voice one concern, saying CLEARLY 'I dont want to have the kid, I dont want YOU to have the kid, it would ruins things for both of us, you more so'. And she says THAT is fucking insinuating that I want to keep the kid?!?!?!?!!?!? And then plays the well its not growing inside you. FUCK HER. All I wanted was her to just say, 'Yes ****, I understand, and i'll support you to'. But no, I get an earful of her making an argument out of nothing and yet i'm always the one at fault.

Mate, you're obviously both really stressed (understandably). Take it easy, yeah? I think Mugabe is right.

Sending good vibes your way :)

Sounds bad. To be fair, I imagine her head's fucked too though. Don't expect rational behaviour.

Hope it turns out better.

Just had my first dinner in the new place, was lucky that someone lent me some cutlery as I forgot to bring any with me. Same for washing up liquid, managed to borrow some of that too, no dishwasher here, really not looking forward to having to wash up after myself every day, I am allergic to the though of washing up, lol.

okay I'll concede that it could have possibly happened but seriously though if the govenment is going to track peoples social sites they must suspect you for something.

And I know all too well what your employer will do with information posted on a public site. Then again sometimes someone does all the work for them. Thoughtful.
