That doesn't sound 'nice' of them, it sounds like they're trying to keep you addicted to me. They are really really snakey about it too. I left my party poker account empty for a few months and i've been texted, rung up, and even got a letter through the post for a free tenner to play with! They deliberately foster addiction and keep it going. It's like you ringing up your dealer and saying please bar me from buying any smack for 5 years, and him periodically giving you a free hit so you never forget about it...

That is rather poor if they credit your account while you are still in a self imposed restriction period. The restriction should apply to playing not just depositing funds. You may not lose any of your own money but you are still able to satisfy the addiction. which I guess is what the casino/company wants?

Poker is good fun though, even if I did lose a lot during my alprozolam haze period :/

I didn't block my account, I just gave it up, and they were trying to reel me back in lol. It sounds really stupid saying this, but I got sucked in by the advertising that you could be good at poker to the point that it isn't gambling. It's just a slightly complex card game, that makes you think you're skilled, when really once you get upto a certain level it just becomes all about luck again. In any given 10,000 people tournament it's just about staying in and rinsing the amateurs upto about 500 people left, then you've got to go balls to the wall to keep your stack large enough not to just get eaten or having your hand forced. The rage you feel when you all in with AA and get beaten by some cunt who matches you with 2 5's and gets another 5 on the flop is incomparable in real life...

Don't get me wrong, I definitely still enjoy it for the gambling experience. But I rarely spend hours on it any more, thinking that the more I play the better i'll get, cus that isn't really the case.

What happened to it? Gutted I just commented went off came back and it was gone, didn't even get to see if it caused the upshot I'd hoped for :D
